I hate that garbage so much. Think being banned or terminated for something and then not being told the reason is more anger inducing than the punishment itself. The simple "you know what you did" response is also orobably the worst, since the response to that is usually "no, because then I wouldn't be asking"

It also leads to mass confusion if the account was compromised, since you could be snuggled up in bed while someone is posting unsuitable material on your account. You wake to see you're in ban land and don't know why. Response? "you know what you did" Now it could be a while to realize you need to secure your stuff because you're trying to figure out the first issue.

Yep, just remembered I even blew a radiator because it failed so I guess I can throw that onto the list since I was angry. Thankfully payphones still existed or I'd be in doodoo. Had some sketchy close call moments, but nothing else. It's far too easy to irreversably screw up because someone minding their own buisiness or reacting to you so haven't done it for quite some time.

Sorta in the same line I haven't really damaged anything either and I never really intended to, I just literally hit the tipping point and then some. One reason is because it already sucks to be mad at some thing. It really sucks when you come around and have to spend a few hundred bucks to replace stuff as well.

So I said to keep the change in a sort of 'eh don't bother pulling it out the store can keep it' since I didn't want a damn penny. The cashier said 'thank you' and right then it hit me like a cement plant at how bad that felt.

Felt like I called the employee a peasant and to be burdened with a damn penny as well.

It's like the time someone asked if I minded if they sat next to me on the bus and I said 'yes' as in they can sit there only to get a glare and leave.

The feature ones every 6 months do. It's usually stuff like 3D builder and 3D viewer. There's also at least 1 or 2 more like your phone. It's mostly just new features/functions that are tied to an app. I've never used either of these 3, but each one has arrived via major update.

The smaller cumulative/security ones don't add anything beyond groans and potential errors.

I don't think I ever thought of myself as attractive. I simply was what I was. If someone liked me then I guess that's nice. If they don't like me, then they can piss off because they don't have to live in me.

While I doubt it'll bring extinction levels to humans in 2-3 years, it'll certainly take its toll over time.

The way I see it, 12k is roughly a town/small city. It's a one and done. It sucks if you're included or you know someone in it, but at least you could say they made the sacrifice for the rest to carry on. In that lot could be a serious threat as well, you never know.

There's almost certainly at least 12k people with a pet cat. This is could be their companion and friend, sure they could replace it with a rat or something else. They even have some that comfort sick/dying people. However there's certainly those that can't cope with change/loss... now you wind up with potential suicides, depression, those that lose restraint and harm others because they want to know why their cluster of kitties are gone. This doesn't even include the ones without a cat, but still find them beneficial/amusing in other ways.

Due to the shift in balance above I'd estimate far more than 12k people(and their relatives) being affected or wiped out in the resulting eco/lifestyle shifts since so many panic and blow everything out of proportion. Crops might not yield as much and possible food shortage? Time to hoard it all and let no one have it, causing more unrest because now there really is a shortage. Not at the stores? better take it from some one else violently. The ones that remain will have to deal with a different, potentially garbage world(not that the current one is perfect/great), but I doubt it'll get better.

So yeah, I doubt the world would be wiped out in 2-3 years... but 12k~ instantly or probable landscape change with more casualties and pain for all, including the 12k that were initially saved. Save em now just so they can suffer over the span of a decade or until some paranoid person kills them during a looting spree for cornflakes.

The concern I have isn't so much the rats themselves as we'll probably just eat or tame them, but how the people will react to the sudden explosion of rats. Some think the internet being down for 2-3 hours is the end of the world. Now imagine the rats chews through all the network lines.

Damn, what was I thinking I change my vote to cats. That way we can all be Willard and have a big fat Ben to cuddle.

Still stand by the 12k tho, as isolated damage seems better than global longer term damage. The small bit above was due to a part of me not minding watching the world burn since I don't want to deny those that really dig the apocalyse life.

This whole scorched earth approach makes me laugh. Yeah, burn all the woods/forests, then burn all the structures, burn all the food, then burn the bodies. Then when you're done burning it all we'll just flood the earth and create waterworld. Yeah, I'm sure the 12k that were saved would rather not take part in that.

Two minor ones that left a tennis ball at best dent in the car as a passenger. Dunno if I'd count those, but they technically count. Fast forward nearly 20 years with nothing but close calls and now this time as a driver one. Doing 45 through a green, oncoming turn lane a pickup made a left through a red due to error. Caught the left rear door and quarter panel on their left bumper/fender, 5200ish usd in damage for just my end.

It was so perfectly timed in that, just 1 second one way it'd be a pants changing experience only. 1-1.5 seconds the other I'd T-bone the passenger door at 40-45 while probably crushing his lady friend and a kid.

It wasn't my fault and nothing I could really do, but the sinking regret/guilt feeling lingers because it wasn't awesome and could have been so much worse.

I was sitting here about to make a comment on the scene in FF7 where they tried to get Aeris and Red to bang in a box. Then was reminded of FF8 and how it subtly places it in your face.

Now I'll only think of that scene as a red rocket ramming into a box as it defeats it defenses and deploys its payload within.

It's honestly so bad/annoying that at least once or twice a day or session I find myself going through 'control panel > system and security > security and maintence > view reliability history' simply to see what updates and drivers were mucked with. Haven't had an audio driver lately, but my favorites are when I'm sitting here and notice the computer's wifi light beaming brightly when it's supposed to be off. Oh, update reset all the network settings. Or when trying to read/watch something and the screen goes black because of a display driver.

If you poke around you'll see it state it'll do it when not being used, but it's a lie...

Sometimes disabling Fast Boot in the BIOS helps with some updates.

Don't even have to go there, simply either 'settings> power>additional power settings' or go through the control panel and find the power section. Either way they lead to the same section and you want to find the 'choose what power buttons do' on the left and turn off fast start at the bottom under shut down settings. It's actually recommended to turn it off(opposite of what the tip says here to have it on) because a shut down doesn't do a proper shut down, potentially screwing up programs like AV and other stuff that needs to be closed and relaunched. Alternatively if you leave fast startup on you'd instead need to restart, not shut down, to get the same effect. It's very convoluted and the benefit is tiny compared to the headache having it on causes.

From the sounds of it I wouldn't be suprised if you just suffered the glorious october update finally or something similar as that one broke audio drivers. If so you'll probably wanna make sure system restore is still making restore points since it turns itself off every major/feature update. If it wasn't the october update you should probably turn it back on if you previously did... since it's probably off.

Oh gawd... I thought it was pretty bad on the original xbox one during the game preview phase, apparently it got better later but never tried it personally.

That version was pretty bad, but at least tolerable after a bit... the switch is like a completely different art style approach. Like comparing a simple cel shaded game vs super realistic.

That said, on the tiny portable screen it seems fine and you can probably get by, but I dread what it looks like on anything over 30, even on my monitor it's literally given me a bit of ocular strain and weirdness after a short bit since it's far too distorted. That's a pretty impressive feat seeing as I've never been bothered by video such as motion sickness like some.

*Lemme rephrase that, I'll touch drugs but usually only in controlled legal doses. None of that weird industrial cleaner banned stuff that makes one maul their little friend.

I don't mind the cold temps, but it does get to a point where it's more bothersome than enjoyable. Around sub 40 it becomes bothersome or even harmful.

Another downside is, if you think people in the north can't drive in icey/snowy conditions you should see it around here. Gotta close almost every bridge and screw up traffic routes, people don't understand how temps affect handling and just go all over the road since no one has winter tires or the ability to drive anymore it seems. Then there's pipes bursting since they're often not protected until you find out if your building/house sucks in that regard the hard way.

45ish-60 is awesome on the other hand, since it's not the 75+ norm and you can still function normally. Think right now it's around 35 and was closer to 30 earlier.

Depends on the type/slice and my mood at the time. Usually 3-4 will suffice. Rather save the rest for equal vs 5, 6, 2 scenarios and then lament at how past me screwed myself.

Turtles in time and one of the older Dynasty warriors(3 or 4?) on ps2. Haven't really played that type of game since so anything else is blanked out or not coming to me.

It's definitely on the weaker/low end. However it should be fine as there's vehicles with worse that manage to make it work. Some can't even reach or maintain 60-70 without exploding or becoming super unstable due to design.

All I can say is push it, hope you get to at least 50-55 before being forced into flow. Also hope others are generous/smart enough to not plow into you, but that's a lot of hope.

If you have to take a short onramp every single day then I guess it could become annoying/terrifying, but eventually you'll get used to it or find another route if absolutely needed. Once you start experiencing 0-60 in 10+ seconds, then you'll start to question things. Another thing to take into account is incline. If it's a steep short incline then I wouldn't be suprised if you struggle to break 40, which could be problematic.

I've got it, the perfect solution is to have a large left breast and small right breast, while also a large right cheek and small left cheek. You can ofcourse swap left/right, but the diagonal offset is mandatory.

Now you can grab all combos and if it's too big/small for your hold, just switch.

They're ok, but too often they're done wrong and there's a tv show called "botched" where plastic surgeory clients have their enhancements or fixes go bad previous and these others have to fix em. This is enough for me to know it's not really worth it and too much of a gamble. If they're done right then yay I guess.

I like how no one mentioned/pointed out the car is backwards which is crucial. The car's aero/downforce is pretty much worthless facing the other direction. Even facing the correct direction can lead to disasterous results for some designs, such as a VW beetle cannot exceed a certain speed or it will force itself to flip upside down and attempt to fly since it's essentially an upside down backwards wing design, or the mercedes CLR backflip of 1999ish.

That said, since I can't see the prior she obviously lost control and got turned around at speed from the straight. This could have been due to braking error/failure, contact with something else, etc. Probably explained somewhere. Either way the car ended up backwards and still at a high speed, causing the aero to go nutty and potentially lifting off the ground. If I remember right those cars are pretty flat on the underside combined with the spoiler/splitter it became a sort of wing. Even braking or tire friction won't really help because it's not touching the ground fully or the suspension is completely unloaded.

As for surviving, yeah... they're designed to basically disintigrate outside of the tiny capsule the driver is in as the entire vehicle is a crumple zone. Unfortunately it's still a lot of trauma like an ejection seat. Save your life, but give you grey hair, blindness, or spinal compression.

They just need to come right out and make a "let's go, stunfisk" edition.

Since I'm not in the habit of losing cables or using different ones, you might actually get away with having a higher amperage than the device is rated. Though the voltage would mean it'd take either a very long time or sound like garbage because it's not getting enough power.

So assuming your numbers are right you might be able to do it, but it's still a game of roulette as to whether the device or adapter are built well enough.

You should really stick with identical. If it's lower it probably won't harm it, but if it's higher it will very likely blow/pop it killing whatever you tried to charge. Seeing as those rates are both flip/flopped I can't say it's a great idea to do it. The voltage might be ok, but the amperage is noticably higher. If you do it don't be suprised if you hear a pop and smell smoke, nevermind a potential battery fire if it bypasses.

My right ring finger isn't fully functional. The joint nearest the tip when flat with the rest is roughly 15 degrees down/in off center and gets zero response via tendon. It'll still pivot slightly(14-16ish degrees of motion, left can easily go 45ish for comparison) when influenced by external force such as pressing against something, but has nothing of its own. It also cannot go fully straight or bend much further than its default state without essentially breaking something skeletal. The finger itself is more difficult to move/use compared to other fingers by a noticable amount and has a default curve/pull that happens to work well for an xbox 360/one controller hold.

Don't know where it came from, but I must have been super young or born with it. I used to wonder why it was such a pain in the ass to type correctly with my right hand years ago, then figured it out sometime later.
