Yep, the pre proposal jitters are something else. It felt like there was literally something pressing down hard on my chest for days, and once she said yes it disappeared.

I thought it was kind of off-putting than Jamie had a whole thing about not wanting to kill the soldiers (understandable), but then in the climax when his family was piloting that giant beetle plane, they were gleefully killing soldiers themselves. It's like the movie was contradicting itself.

Seasons 1 and 2 are more light-hearted. Even when the characters are dealing with world-ending threats, they're willing to make jokes and jabs at each other. The Season 2 finale is especially pretty silly.

Season 3 turned up the darker moments so hard that it almost feels like a different show.

I remember how annoyed I was that I could never get paintbrushes other than standard colors. wanted a Tyrannian Shoyru so much.
