I don't know who "those people" are. As far as I know - the script of MGS was Hideo Kojima's, with no involvement from external third parties to fit an ESG metric.

Outsourcing and contract work is incredibly common. Especially in video games.

The entire point is that some jobs don't require permanent staff.

Basically groups like sweet baby inc get hired to proofread all of the dialogue and make changes where a conversation might be considered "insensitive" or could be possibly misconstrued as offensive.

So basically companies get DEI or ESG (I forget which one of these it is) money to make their game but they have to make it politically correct and have a minimum amount of minorities or other disparaged groups included in the game.

Some steam users got together and made a group to find all games that sweet baby inc worked on so they can avoid playing those games. No it wasn't to harass them. In fact, the group creator as publicly stated they don't endorse harassment during an interview on Asmondgolds channel. Though they're still seething people might be alerted to the games they've worked on and have even removed the lists on their personal website.

Someone from Sweet baby Inc infiltrated their group. But I wouldn't really say infiltrated because they were aware of them and let them be in the group but then they kept harassing people, spamming the discord and trying to get people's personal information. So they got kicked out.

They continued to wage a harassment campaign on the members, The founder and a lot of his friends were Brazilian so that's even more ironically hilarious that people dedicated to diversity and inclusion are harassing what are considered minorities in their countries.

They tried to get the groups leader Steam account banned and when that didn't work they went to the game journalist websites like Kotaku and spun a bunch of b******* up about them being extremists and white nationalists (Brazilian leader lol).

S*** is continuing to be thrown on both sides and it's evolved into what people are calling gamergate 2.
