I made a topic on the Switch board on how I would like Brie Larson to play Samus for a metroid film or series. She is the only one pushing for that role and Nintendo is getting ready for more movies. A lot of people said i knew what I was doing and someone said I knew what I was doing. I don't get the hate. I fully understand you don't have to like her, but she isn't some criminal.

I think what it is that the people that hate her don't really hate Brie herself but what she represents. I get it, let's face it, the world we live in is different 15 years ago. We are more politically aware. I think the people who hate Brie has such a passion or hate for certain political movements and it bleeds into the most random crap.

Brie said one thing about white men, she must be tied to xyz. If this happened 15 years ago.. you guys wouldn't care. You guys would have said, "That's weird." And kept it moving.

This doesn't just apply to Brie it could be any woman who said something they don't like. To me, it sounds like tribalism.

Edit: please find me some evidence of her. Being a horrible person, please.

Don't think that would be an issue for Samus lol.

I don't think it's true either though. She has more roles than Captain Marvel.

So she was in a kids movie that had young girls as a demographic. Reviews were mixed but she said she didn't care because most critics are white men and they aren't the demographic for the movie.

Nerds got angry over this. Even though they never watched it as they weren't the demographic. Some then proceeded to try and spin it into being a comment made about Captain Marvel.

She made some passing comment about wanting to hear from more diverse voices in film criticism many years ago and Internet nerds have never forgiven her for it.
