hannibal do you know danbi? i mm'd danbi at smashcon and it was 3-1 him. every game was pretty close though. i also played trey5 a bit at smashcon too. they were all super cool and danbi gave me tons of yoshi tips.

With Adin, Kai, and a lot of black streamers getting big on Twitch I don't see how Mizkifs comes back from being exposed as racist. It's just ironic that it was Ice Poseidon that did him in (he made Mizkif famous)

People knew Mizkif said slurs like that for years. It was definitely leaked a few years ago that he said stuff like that and people hardly cared. Assuming nothing more insane happens (which it's possible it will), Mizkif will be fine.

I've gotten a ton of these recently too. Someone just sent me a picture of their lobster dinner yesterday. Looked pretty good too.

Mizkif is going to come back in like a week or two and no one is going to care. People already knew he said those things 4+ years ago and no one cared then and no one cares now.

There's no proof of this. He gave people from Twitch gifts, but there's no confirmation or source that confirms they were mods to allow Train to keep gambling.

Okay to be more specific, is there any major internet leftist who checks all these boxes:

* Doesn't platform crazy people (even if it's just to debate/debunk them)
* Sets a good example for the left, i.e. doesn't use a bunch of edgy humor to make some labored point

Congrats man. Are you on your region's PR too?

PR season ends Sept 30th, but it's unlikely. I think there's a good chance I will be honorable mention (HM) or potentially 10th, but that's it. I had a lot of good placings (3rd, many 5ths, 7ths, 9ths) but then a decent bit of 13ths. A tad too inconsistent for PR probably.

Got third at my local tonight, which was the highest placing I've ever had at a local. Won money for the first time from smash lol.

Im glad Tilde also thinks G&W is Falcos worst matchup, seems like that character can be unpunishable sometimes and he is near impossible to edge guard with the up+B. I struggle to beat Rides DDD too tho and that is supposedly Falcos best matchup lol

Also I'm hating discord, I can't find any people on any of the channels I've joined. Did they change something about the mobile version or am I just dumb? I used to interact on rideshort's server without issue.

Also, has anyone heard of dash walking? I just found out about this from one of Grace and Glory's videos and holy shit, if your character has a fast dash like Falcon it's basically a teleport. I'll definitely be implementing this. The timing is strict but missing it just means misinputting a tilt

Dash walking is cool. I use it for zss sometimes to like pivot cancel f tilts or with wolf to do some boost grabs and spaces f tilts. It's a nice movement mix up, but both of them have such good initial dashes anyway I don't use it all that much.

For discord, a lot of those servers need you to "read the rules" then react an emote or something to the main channel in order to use it and gain permissions. Example from wolf cord:

I want to get more serious about learning certain character match ups and what I can be doing better with my character that I'm not seeing. Where do I go to get in these character discords where they share information like that? I'm not able to find anything useful myself.

So there's a couple of ways I would suggest going about it. If you really want to get Falcon or Puff or whoever better, I would suggest joining the "Falcon" discord. If you just google search "Captain Falcon Discord" the invite will pop up. Character discords are extremely hit or miss where some are really good with help and tech and others are very eh. ZSS one is thankfully good since the community has gotten much smaller in the past few months and the people who remain care about the character. I've heard others like the Steve discord as just a cesspool.

If you want a very specific match up, I would join that character discord and ask for games in the matchmaking/friendlies channel. For instance I'm in the ROB, Diddy and Wolf discords and just ask for games in there. The problems with that is other people are also looking for that match up, so you may play against other characters which is still good practice. For instance in ROB cord I just host up and like random characters join sometimes and it's good practice regardless.

Otherwise I just youtube specific match ups and try to watch the pros or whoever play. "Zss vs Fox" and watch what marss does. I'm in general grind servers if you'd ever be interested in joining those where people help, so just let me know. Not sure if that is exactly the advice you were looking for, but just let me know. I can help you navigate the character cords if needed.
