For a number of reasons but mostly the fact you can actually do damage while defending in Sekiro. Combat in Sekiro is so much better than Elden Ring.

Yeah I agree. At least I put forward my rationale.

My rationale is there's only one weapon and the game revolves around deflects and parrys.

Thinking about it, DS2 might be better due to the dozens of builds you can do.

Yeah there is only one weapon. If your issue with with combat variety there are different styles for that one weapon.

I love the deflect and parry system. The reason why I prefer it specifically over Elden Ring is because Id much rather be involved in the combat than spending 90% of the time in boss fights running away and rolling.

I'm still bummed Sekiro didn't get DLC. The upgraded bosses added in the boss rush update aren't quite the same.

fingerprint shield plus mohg lance was baller in ER

Sekiro is the most populated FromSoftware game but I couldn't handle how relentlessly unforgiving it is.

Think you misunderstood. There are too many boss battles where you need to be blocking or rolling for too long.

you can keep your great shield up while attacking with a thrusting weapon and as long as your guard and stamina are high enough, you can continue pretty much indefinitely

Maybe I just suck but there are definitely enough AOE and Unblockable Attacks where this isnt an option to make it stick in my mind. Again maybe I just suck.

I like it better for the environs and yes, the swordplay, but can certainly get why people are upset about a complete lack of builds. The soundtrack was better overall too.

Personally found they dragged. Once you realise a lot of the side content is rinse and repeat in the case of some of the dungeons and a lot of the areas that are amazing looking lose their charm second time round especially as so many have repeating bosses and not that great rewards.

I beat it twice which is twice the amount of Sekiro which will never get played again.

sekiro leans hardest into being a pure action game, elden ring leans hardest into being an RPG

Elden Ring has no start point. There is nothing in Elden ring that says "Ok everything from before the game has stopped and now the game is starting something new"

Sekiro is just combat

Sekiro is just too damn tough cuz it has rules that has to be followed.. i hate it so much

I prefer the souls games because you just have to level up self and weapons and you can kill the enemies quickly. A true rpg experience

Sekiro is the best From game. Yeah I said it.
