He has the frame data, the recovery, the combos, cheese, etc. His really only weakness is that he can have trouble killing at times and he lacks big disjoints. I think Monte actually outplaced Maister at Pound or Mainstage, and was the first G&W to do so. With that in mind, I don't think placements really dictate how good or bad a character is. For instance Inkling basically has zero results but people still think the character is high/top tier. I have my ZR button set to jump so I've been using the two button short hop macro as I believe the first jump does have to be a short hop. I've found doing it with one jump button to be impossible, you have to mash too many buttons too fast so oftentimes you'll full hop.This is my strategy as well. I am in a similar situation where I have a pretty comfy job that pays decently, but there are definitely bigger opportunities out there. Now some places have offered almost double the salary, but also double the hours and I have turned those down.
