Gun confiscation seems like a very hard and dangerous thing to do.

How did that work out in other countries?

Worked great in Australia.

...I'm just imagining the feds going into people's houses to take away their property.

There had to be some sort of incentive or reimbursement like the FDR gold seizure.

Not suicidal? If you shoot up a school your life is basically over.

Anybody that has this level of foresight is either on some drug or doesn't have the intellectual or emotional capacity to be considered human.

Might as well be a zombie that found a firearm.

I heard the curve of the Katana wasn't actually that significant for slashing compared to swords like the scimitar. Rather than an intentional design it's more a consequence of the differing hardness of the metal used. It's the top-heavy "axe" hacking that takes off limbs. A straight sword probably would've been better in that regard.

Saw already mentioned but longswords fell out of use with the emergence of plate. They started using stuff like rapiers and daggers.

...Yeah, take what I say with a grain of salt. Tons of the blind leading the blind.

Second was a cranky old lady who kept trying to tell me I didn't have enough money. What's so frustrating is I don't think she ever understood me.

The last was the manager and he fortunately knew what to do.

Years ago, I saw someone complaining about them and I guess I understand where they're coming from.

Sailed with Princess months ago. This kind of thing is hard to talk about with my family because of how expensive it was. Best thing I can do is put on a smile for them.

As a 20-something man, the most enjoyable thing was probably the deck view of the ocean and the food. Well, some of the restaurants were so pretentious they had an uncomfortable and heavy atmosphere. I remember having a hard time being alpha and waving my **** around because "top chiefs" served me spoiled fish. I mostly ate pizza and bratwurst at the food court.

It was kind of cool to have a Filipino dude make my bed three times a day. I'm not sure what he was trying to tell me with all the heart-shape chocolate he gave me.

The all-you-can-drink cards are a total scam though. My mother spent thousands of dollars just so my brother could have his soft drinks and liquor. It's somewhat embarrassing to talk about (but we secretly shared).

I guess cruises are mostly for old women and retired couples. Stuff like jewelry, spas, art auctions, cheap champagne, dancing and musical performances.

Popular religions aren't outlawed in modern China (might even be growing) but its presence and open worship is a complicated matter.

Perhaps it can be seen as hypocritical for Ham to make such demands for his employees yet support a state that openly calls for atheism for party unity?

I dunno, just a thought I had earlier today. I mean people make cases and overreact to much less things.

The reason flood myths are popular around the world is because civs like to use rivers for transport, fresh water, food, ect. The soil is usually fertile for crops because rivers tend to flood.

I remember hearing years ago there was an issue with Ken Ham using state taxes and religiously discriminating who he hires.

Christian employees had to make a statement that Noah's flood was an actual historical event or something along those lines.

This reminds me of a pulse-tracker wristband I got for Christmas one year. Can you believe it needed an internet account to display offline data? I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be insulted by how they tried to downplay the issue in their abridged terms of service.

In much the same way, Ancestry keeps these records. They can say they have no intention of disclosing them but they have no choice in the matter when given the appropriate warrant.

You don't need to be a criminal to be at risk. Yours and even the test results from family members can used to build a case against you in court. I wouldn't worry too much if you're already in their system but the prospect of bad luck is something you have to live with.

That was my design draft for a character. It had to do with A.I. and morality.

I was working with an old idea but it wasn't especially compatible with my newer idea.

I was trying to reconcile them but the nuance of a few words kept throwing me off. Later I had trouble finding the words with the right focus.

I guess more than anything I wanted to be sure I understood my direction clearly.
