From what I learned galvanized steel used in old homes is treated with a natural zinc coating so when they corrode the lead with the zinc ends up in the water.

The water company guy came yesterday to check out our service line and replace it for free if needed but it was fine.

But I just checked everything else out and noticed a lot of it was magnetic. Is galvanized steel typically used in old pipes? I mean there wouldn't be regular steel used for that, right?

If they want to reasonably expand it, the ideal of self-sufficiency would be to gather the resources from space. Some materials would be hard to get in large quantities.
