This describes my experience well.

I don't know why we still have this (((dress clothes))) thing in current year.

And on topic, they are pretty uncomfortable and they can be tight in some areas, although for my body type I don't have the same problems you do. It's hard for me to find one that's the right size around the neck. It'll be too tight around the neck but if I can't find one with a bigger neck that doesn't have me swimming in the arms/torso area. It sounds like you're too tight in both areas so you might just be able to go a size up all around.

Granted, I've never had a tailored suit, and I hear those are much better, but I don't wear suits often enough to bother with one

I had a few pairs of shoes over the years. Dress shoes have a much harder rubber sole in my experience.

Probably because they're thicker but you get the idea.

Probably a size issue
Definitely a size issue
Also most likely a size issue
Always a bit of a problem with dress cloths
Could be a size issue, but might need to get used to it
Depends on the design.

Yeah, most of those sound like sizing problems. I used to wear dress clothes to the office every day (work from home these days), and I actually found them pretty comfortable. The last time I had the sort of issues you're talking about, I was a teenager wearing dress clothes I'd probably started to grow out of.

You probably need a bigger dress shirt and possibly pants. I usually get pants that are slightly looser than my jeans around the waist. This way I can wear longer dress shirts and have extra room to tuck them in. Just make sure to get a nice belt!

As for shoes - buy a more comfortable pair. I hate dress shoes...They're too stiff and don't have any support and I don't wear them often enough to break them in...Sketchers and some other brand make nice looking shoes that have a lot of cushion on the bottom so they're comfortable and feel closer to sneakers when walking around.

I find dress clothes uncomfortable too, I think they're supposed to be that way. Even getting sized, they're just restrictive as hell.
You didn't even mention the pants. I'll let our distinguished former president, LBJ, cover that topic:

- Whatever your neck is measured to be, get dress shirts at least half an inch larger in circumference. Dress shirts list the collar measurement.
- If the wrist buttons are in, it shouldn't ride up that much, but yes it's still annoying
- Like the neck, whatever your torso measurement is, get a shirt that's a bit larger.
- Nothing you can do about this, even an oversized dress shirt is restrictive like that and yes, it sucks.
- Get a longer shirt? Mine are usually longer than I'd like, to the point that tucking them in is annoying, so much fabric.
- What kind do you have? Good loafers can be reasonably comfy, since they're effectively fancy-looking slippers.
These aren't the exact pair I have, but look similar and same brand name:

Go to a store where they actually fit you.

You will learn your sizes and find that dress clothes can be some of the most comfortable. I miss wearing suits every day, personally.

Here is some advice: You will likely spend 1/3 of your life sleeping and 1/3 of your life on your feet. Invest in a good mattress, a good pillow, and at least 1 great pair of work shoes. You won't regret it.

Not sized right. A fitted shirt at least. It's not that expensive.

Most people would describe my casual as dress cloths, cause I like to look fly.
