I feel like any openly non-Christian major candidate won't happen for the next 100 years. I think we've had a few that didn't really ever talk about it, but anyone going openly against the "norm" would likely be shunned. Even if people become less likely to make their religion part of their personality, I think it's going to be part of their decision making for generations.

Cause it's easier to get away with if it's animated and people are pretty sick. They can convince themselves it's not as bad. Which it probably isn't, but it still motivates your mind to fetishise rape. Which is a really dark path. You definitely should not water that seed if it was planted by something you seen or experienced as a young adult. Do I think everyone who fetishises rape would do it in real life? Of course not. But everyone who attempts rape obviously fetishised it before that got to that point.
While I'd agree that it's on the worse side of fetishes, you must really have no faith in humans in general if you think they're swayed that much by fiction. It's really no different than the video games cause violence argument.

well there is no one (except for a private transaction with a friend or family member) who is going to give you a loan without a stipulation like that. they make their money off interest. more money due = more interest.
Most decent institutions will just count on the human condition paying things back over a long period of time vs rushing to pay it off.

It's a thing for scam institutions that depend solely on people paying interest in order to make a profit, so obviously paying it off early takes away their profit.

It completely ignores that we have around a 1:1 gun to person ratio, so it's unrealistic at best. Even ignoring the massive backlash due to centuries of gun culture, such a project would be near impossible or take like a hundred years. There are measures that can be taken to try to reduce it, but that isn't one of them.

I'm not 100% on the no sympathy side, but anecdotally I disagree that most drug users are seeking relief. They're typically just selfish assholes who use their newfound emotional pain from being shitheads as an excuse to spiral further into oblivion. Actual statistics may or may not disagree with me though.

No. I disagree with the terminology and the application on the individual level. There is an extreme difference between saying that on average people may experience life differently based on innate characteristics and that an individual has an innate advantage based on those average experiences. Ascribing that as something innate to each individual completely ignores the context of each individual's life experience.

The majority of drives end without any issues. The majority of addictive drug use leads to negative effects. Even if you see all addicted drug users as victims of the addiction, the comparison just doesn't work the way you indented it.

If you make scummy choices, you are a scummy person. Addiction doesn't change that, just the same with drink drivers.

The addiction itself is bad, yes, but ultimately the person still makes the choice to do harm to others and that is not something that should be forgiven.
Addiction can definitely turn someone into a completely unreedemable scumbag. Even when they're sober, you can tell how much they've changed. Though that obviously depends on the kind of drug used and history of usage.

Sort of. I feel bad that people get dragged down into a horrible habit that ruins lives. At the same time, having seen one particular disgusting person bounce back and forth between sobriety and drug use the last few years, blaming all issues in her life on everything but herself, selling her own child's insulin for drug money, and just being an all around horrible person, I'd honestly feel nothing if she dropped dead due to her own issues.

I don't get why there is so much contention to the statement "not every nazi was evil." I think most people would agree that's a true fact about nearly every group that has a certain amount of people in it. I don't know why people are trying to equate that to me saying the nazis aren't evil. They were in fact very evil, very horrible, very vile, etc etc etc. Yet you keep saying that no matter how many times I say the contrary.
