The difference is the expectations. Nobody expects to be able to use everything in a side game. Everyone expected to keep using all the Pokemon in a mainline game, and there was never a valid reason given as to why they stopped.

While not perfect, they were great side games. They at least changed up the already then tired formula of the mainline games, and Wes, despite being kind of a generic edgelord design, was still a unique protagonist that the series should have more of. I feel like that easily could have remained a staple side series.

It was previously dying a slow, peaceful death in hospice. Now, it's on an operating table, slowly being ripped apart and turned into some hellish, tortured creature that'll probably live on in pain for years to come.

Im curious what the retention rate will be. While it doesnt look like trash, I havent seen any gameplay of that game that makes it look at all enticing. Not sure if mod support can drastically change it or not, but I wouldnt be surprised if 90% of people drop it before completing the main story.

Chocolate elitism has always seemed weird. Hershey's is hardly my go-to chocolate, but it's fine. I feel like I've tried chocolate from other countries in some of those variety international boxes, and I don't really remember it being really much different at all from standard American ones.

Yes. They're stupidly profit-driven to the point of ruining everything. The biggest thing is that they pretend they're some big community-based company, but continually trample over all but the largest communities. It's only when they massively fuck up like with their AI generated Q&A nonsense that they pull stuff back, but even then it's only temporary in their minds. Their answer to wikis leaving the site was not to figure out why and make the experience better. Their answer was to make it more of a pain in the ass and reduce visibility of the new wiki.

Something becoming too mainstream can just seems to negatively affect everything, whether too many chefs or not enough care being given to keeping things consistent. Though I'd say that happened to Fallout a while ago, so not too much to complain about with that franchise.

It would definitely be very weird, depending on the name. Some guys names seem like they'd work ok-ish, while some just seem weird when paired with a woman. For some arbitrary reason, I could see a woman being named George sounding natural, but not Ralph. Nothing that'd inherently turn me off of a relationship.

I do hope that comes sooner than later. Generative AI chat bots can be pretty fun, but they're still very limited by current models and require a lot of babysitting to remain remotely consistent.

I'd say the best solution would be the funding of forced institutionalization with extra focus on actual care. Youtube has always been really weird as to what it does and doesn't moderate. Some of it is simply the full scope of the site is impossible to control without bots, but other stuff seems to just be arbitrarily enforced. I wouldn't be surprised if they have an algorithm with a money to controversy ratio.

That's only possible because the wiki licensing agreement allows anyone to use it at any time as long as the agreement is followed. For site contributions, they belong to the uploader.

On their own, it's not really a giant deal. This site was always on the decline, but the real problem is that it's step #?? in Fandom's plan of slowly molding the site into whatever abomination they have planned.

It's amazing how everyone from Fandom is just inept in all facets of damage control on any platform they control. There's always just so many ways they could respond better, so many ways they could have implemented more reasonable changes, and so many ways they could actually attempt to improve things.
