An inexpensive tablet I can either read, doodle, or browse GameFAQs on instead of tapping my foot impatiently while waiting on technology, since my boss doesn't want me browsing GameFAQs or any of that on a work computer and thinks that's only okay on the guest WiFi network. So I have to get creative with a setup that will let me do that while not distracting me too much or blowing an unnecessarily large hole in my wallet. From what it sounds like, this might be ideal for such a purpose... but I'd really like GameFLUX availability. I should be able to hack it. I feel that it's the same sort of thing as you describe Worlds Apart, only it doesn't have the satisfying conclusion. It has deplorable villains (who reminded me of assholes who picked on me in middle school), rootable Heroes (love me some Aubry), good comedic relief in Debbie, great blindsides, crazy shit like Jenny Lanzetti's meltdown, and a defining episode/moment (Tai DENYING Scot Pollard), but because of the MedEvacs and certain awkwardness, it never comes together well and creates a shitstorm. The episode where Aubry and Tai take out Scot Pollard and Jason's idol is one of my all-time favorites, but the rest of the season is marred by its negativity and the bad guys getting the last laugh. And she only returned because Natalie Anderson didn't clear concussion protocol in time. Was an easily acquirable replacement. I happen to like Rodney - he's matured a lot because of the show and has broadened his worldview. The comments about women holding themselves to a higher standard were mostly because he's from a lower-class area with a lot of prostitution - something he was generally bad at articulating. He should definitely not have brought that up, though. And his vote for Will was likely because of delirium - Rodney was in and out of the hospital for an entire year after filming, which is why CBS didn't put him in the Second Chance pool. I feel bad for Dan, honestly. The guy is clearly clueless as to how he's perceived by others and, because of his behaviors, probably has some sort of clinical mental illness. He also got called "racist" simply for not remembering Shirin's name, which follows zero logic. He for some reason thought he was "being helpful" to Shirin but in reality was very condescending, again because he doesn't understand how he's perceived. Why do you think Mike was coaching him? I can understand his perspective, but he lost me when his exit press was nothing but one rant about how his edit sucked after another. Dan is just TOO clueless to be likable. But he does earn my sympathy in ways that Will does not. Shirin is the typical SJW who plays the race and sex cards as necessary. I naturally have grown to despise her. If she's on RHAP, I skip her. That says a lot. I can see where her neo-feminazism comes from but I just do not like her anymore, even though I felt bad for how she was treated on her season. Will Sims is a horrible excuse for a human being. Shirin provoked him, sure, but he went after Jenn and Mike too during his tirade. The ONE nice thing I can say about him is that he loves Monifa very, very much. But he's an aggressive, easily provoked asshole to anyone else, and a vile bully who looks to "God" for forgiveness as opposed to the person he victimized. Worlds Apart went from being like 20ish in my season rankings to bottom tier as time went on. There is just too little positive to look back on. Vlado posted... I was planning on playing Symphonia next (whenever the time for another Tales game comes after Vesperia...), but I could swap it with Abyss. Symphonia is the ideal starting point for 3D Tales. Going backward to it from Vesperia is not going to be a very good experience, given how it lacks Free Run, has unvoiced skits, and has a much less effective skills system. With Abyss, it's just the unvoiced skits - everything measures up to Vesperia and the plot and characters are way, way better. Vlado posted... I find it hard to believe 3 and 4 outdo it like people claim. But we'll see. Trust me. Persona 4 Golden in particular is beyond incredible. I'll see what kind of time I have for everything. Longer rounds plz I suggest reducing to 5 saves per hour OR 6 saves per hour (gradually decreasing) and eliminating 20 or 25 a round until we're down to 200. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it. It was enough to get me to keep going had it been my game, which it wasn't. There's also GTAIV and Skyward Snore, but both of those are bad games that even fans of the franchises feel lukewarm toward. I might check out the first Dune and see where it goes from there. Vlado posted... It's a solid game, but too much "by the book" for me. Majora's Mask was much more creative and fun. I can agree that Majora's Mak was more creative and interesting, but my memories, both the good and the bad, are more with Ocarina of Time. I compare every Zelda to OoT - and only Twilight Princess fully measures up. Wind Waker is great until the last act. I don't have an NES. Never have. Would have to come up with "other ways" that take the fun out of it. As for Tales games, Abyss is my favorite. Vesperia is overrated by some people - it's a lot of fun and the cast is electric at times, yet underdeveloped as both characters and as a group. Still good, but Abyss is deeper and more thought-provoking - which I think you'll like. Persona 3, 4, and 5 are better than what I've seen of 1 and 2. I haven't cared to play those two, just the three more recent. Your anime recommendations seem like commitments but I might look into them. I don't know. With my job and trying to have a social life, it's hard to allocate my fun time with so much I could do. Thanks for all those recommendations! I'll definitely give some a gander, see if they stick. Books... well, I like anything by John Green (Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars being his two most notable), though I've yet to read his most recent. I generally gravitate toward young adult stuff (another is Speak, which just got rereleased as a graphic novel), but I've read some Agatha Christie and liked it. I need to read more, to be honest. Any recommendations? Games... gosh, where to start? My top ten includes two Zelda titles (Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess), Tales of the Abyss, Persona 4, Saints Row 2... and I don't even know what else anymore. I like a lot of Japanese games, as you can tell. I enjoy pretty much every genre except first-person shooters. What about you? I don't watch much anime. Only one I watched the entirety of recently was Eden of the East, which was pretty good. I think that's a byproduct of me not caring for most TV in general. Only show I watch religiously - and I mean obsessively, really - is Survivor. Are there any anime that are must-watch? Preferably 1-2 typical anime seasons (aka 24ish episodes at most).
