The bedbugs had been there longer than I'd have liked, but those damn things are so good at hiding that it's not an easy problem to spot. I still have no clue how they got there, but it definitely had nothing to do with me neglecting to clean the place. That has no correlation whatsoever. Bedbugs feed on human blood, so all they need is a warm body. You could have the cleanest place in the world and still get bedbugs.

The exterminator said that he had a back-and-forth between two places where one idiot tenant was bringing the monsters back and forth between his apartment and his friend's, so they never went away and continued to replicate at both places due to his carelessness. That's how they move. I could have gotten them from a package, I could have brought them home from the bus, I could have brought them home in my suitcase on my trip to Seattle last May, etc. As long as I smited them all and didn't drag any elsewhere, I should be good...

Roaches sticking around are more the result of a mess, but they have to get there first. If you consume most of your food and ensure any rinds or forgotten leftovers get through the garbage in a few days, they might go check out your neighbor's instead. MIGHT. That's the only way I can see roaches coming in because of negligent disposal habits.

That's a good question. Yes, you can use slang for something.

The same thing can win twice, but the runner-up for BOTH letters will be entered in the tournament. So if "Ass" wins this (which "dat ass" and "asses" will be rolled into), "Butts" can win B, but in doing so, "Ass/Butts" will be grouped in the tournament and the second highest vote totals (we'll say "air" and "Board 8") will both be in as well. There will thus be one less wild card.

I hope that makes sense.

Yeah, Keith gets Wesley and Alec for sure. Natalie gets at least votes from Jeremy, Josh, and Jaclyn for the move that won her the game (the epic F5 idol play where she took full credit and created an F4 where she could make the end no matter what). I would presume Jon does what Jaclyn does. Reed did not do what Josh did. Reed was the one who broke up with Josh in the end, so he'd do his own thing no matter what (Jon and Jaclyn are happily married. John Rocker and Quits McGee are no longer together. Jeremy and Val are still married, of course.).

I think Natalie beats Keith/Missy but I don't know about Jaclyn/Keith. That jury has such odd dynamics with it being a Blood vs. Water season and all.

Hmmm, that's something you can go so many ways with. Don't think I can do that at work. Too absorbing. My work may be monotonous but I can only type like a dozen words at a time while one thing scans. Writing a story in full would take priority over my work and I can't have that.

Thanks, though. I'll maybe get back into one of my novel projects. Do I go with The Void (very JRPG-esque) or If I Was Your Boyfriend (rom-com with a lot of mind-fucks)? I have much more progress in the former.

In addition to what Johnbobb said, if you want something that gets you out of the house, you could try sketching. Get a cheap sketchbook, go to a park/mall/whatever, and draw interesting passers-by or scenery.

I have a sketchbook laying around somewhere from my last attempt to draw. I can try again. Will take a while to get skilled. But if I do... I can draw "her."

Learn and instrument/make music

I'm not sure what instrument I'd learn, not to mention the times I've tried before were disastrous. I also don't want to drop $100+ on an instrument only for it to collect dust after a few hours. And it would feel wrong to go jam in a music store only to not buy anything.

...unless I ask my sister's father-In-law if I can borrow his little studio. That might work.

I majored in English and have already generated over a million words of creative writing. I've never finished a project for whatever reason. I should get back to some of those. But my passion dried up a bit and now I'm not much of a hobbyist with that. I should try and reignite that passion...

I always go through phases on/off with things like Photoshop/SAI, so I know that feeling. I was good at it in high school and then I stopped doing it for a long time and stopped being good; B8's largely the reason I started up. Some of the things I've had the most fun with with it:
-Making movie posters for Mercs
-Making/collabing art in the aquarium topics
-Designing extra cards for card/board games I like

I used to host soul-consuming Survivor ORGs back in the day and did some relatively basic stuff for that. I usually hired the logos out until I got good enough. I did some tracing though because I was so sloppy whenever I didn't.

I'll figure things out.

Board gaming is at a church on the first Saturday of each month and people are guaranteed to be there. There's open board gaming on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the store itself. I have a lot of options for that!

Doable. There's a store near where I live where I can go try those kinds of things with others (they have a Meetup group, too). I don't mind entering a new social circle even though I'm an introvert. Or at least giving it a try, so that I'll do. Thanks :)

I'm thinking something craft-oriented or just fun to go out and do. But I want something that's not going to cost me too much money. I don't want a money-sink like Yu-Gi-Oh became for me back in the day.

My current hobbies are video games, baking, thinking about the girl I like, walking outdoors (including hiking and exploration), Survivor, and eating out. I do not drink alcohol, so any hobby that includes plastering is out of the question. I do go to geek conventions 2-3 times a year, usually alone, but there are some people I know from those. Cosplay is a possibility but I have always been horrific at sewing...

The only collections I have are Survivor buffs and U.S. quarters (by design on the tails side). I needn't add more items to further clutter my room. Any new hobby that generates items would have to allow me to sell them on Etsy or eBay.

Any suggestions for things I should try?
