As for the anime, I double-checked myself, and I was thinking of Mars of Destruction, which appears on a number of 'worst anime of all time' lists. So, if Sands of Destruction (which arrived today) is not all that bad, so much the better. Nothing slows down or stutters, everything runs the way it is supposed to. I received enough Steam gift cards to cover the price of the game, but ... not enough to cover the tax, too. D'oh. Going to go get one more card in order to cover that and the Deluxe Version DLC (Season Pass included), but I am not going to go so far as to pay for the Full Sound Version. I should point out that I read the books as they came out ... up until Book 11. I cannot recall if I did anything with the Sanderson trilogy, though I do have it. For me, the pacing was great for the first four books, and then it bogged down in Book 5 and stopped dead in Book 6, becoming a slog after that. Still a great series, but perhaps too ambitious in the end. I have watched the first three episodes of the show, and it is ... okay. I feel like the original story could have been trimmed a bit differently, and there is stuff in there that is not in the books at all, but the look of the universe is definitely there, barring poor CGI (e.g. the Trollocs). --- -- I Abibde / Samuraiter Laughing at Game FAQs since 2002. |
