I learned how old I truly feel when I dipped into the Battletech sub on Reddit and realized I had no idea what anybody there was talking about. ... I think that universe ended at 3062 for me.

Got a game from a five-dollar eroge bundle that solved the problem of bad dialogue in sex scenes by having all of the potential partners be NPCs that are only allowed to say their one line they always say, regardless of what is happening. Points for creative thinking.

There are so many VTubers out there that there's one for everyone at this point.

I will admit to watching kitty_moco face hordes of zombies occasionally.

The supply of VTubers appears to be bottomless. New ones keep appearing in my Reddit feed.

Trying to remember the last VN I played, and, to be honest, I have not touched the genre in a long time, and the recommendations I see nowadays are for things like Maggot Baits and Dona Dona.

I'm usually not so harsh when critiquing.. but this series is shameless unrepentant wish fulfillment masturbation. It's fun to watch at times, but it's, like, everything a stereotypical weeb wishes would happen to them. Average loser gains OP mystic powers along with drip and an eyepatch, gets vicious revenge on everyone who ever wronged him, goes on a rampage against freaking God itself, and has every fucking woman in the series begging for his dick (and of course he prefers the loli).

I have a good list going of how not to write isekai protags, and your description sums up most of it.

No anime in my queue as of late because Star Ocean: The Second Story R exists and is amazing.

Crunchyroll ate Right Stuf while I was away.

I need to go back to Tomo-chan Is A Girl for more Carol.

Wow, they actually just asked Rae if she was gay in "in love with the villainess" and then had a reasonable discussion about the topic. I don't think I've ever seen that in anime. Talking about what you actually think in a romance seems like a cheat code in anime.

Got quite a few new ones starting tommorow.including the twist I've been waiting for in villainess anime where the reincarnated office girl just wants to seduce the villainess in some glorious yuri. Really hoping that one's good. Still wish we'd get a proper ecchi yuri harem but alas, not yet.

I came to the conclusion, long ago, that the only way to get that kind of harem was to write myself. I do have a few ideas for that, but, y'know, only so many hours in the day.

I might give that new villainess show a try, though.

I do not trust Square Enix to remake Chrono Trigger.

If they can't even port the damn thing correctly, what business do they have remaking it?

Presumably because this would be the first we have gotten since the PSP.

Almost to the end of the Trinity Seven manga, at least as soon as Volumes 27 and 28 arrive from Amazon. (The anime, if you include the OAV and both movies, covers up to Volume 11.) Been a fun ride, but I am ready for it to be done.

Got a good deal on a HG Gundam Breaker Battlogue Gundam Ground Urban Combat Type. Reminds me of one of my favorites in old Super Robot Wars games.

Never got huge into danmachi's anime, but I played the mobile game for a time when there was some canon content written by the author going on. Probably the best written gacha game event I've seen (it was about the original Argonaut who was Bell's ancestor/pre-reincarnation). It's a pretty good setting.

And now that mobile game is preparing to close up shop, and a new, more Genshin-y game has been released.

I enjoy Danmachi, but the fandom pretty much sucks, especially on Reddit.

There is no Manga Cinematic Universe to kill that medium dead.

Episode counts in general are taking a dive. Getting to a full 13 is starting to become uncommon, 26 is rare, and anything longer is a long-running shounen series.

Reddit apparently thinks the new Boruto is the worst thing to happen in the history of humanity.

I think that entire fandom needs to be fired.

I know Osu! has not been in the topic title for years, at this point, but I wonder if there is anybody left who still plays?

I have discovered that, if I fire up almost any JRPG that was released circa 2012, the chance of JYB doing a voice for it is significant. I cracked open Trails in the Sky FC recently, and, sure enough, there he was.

Went back and binged Immoral Guild.

Toxico is a mood.

The vending machine show is a thing. Slow season for me until Bleach comes back, though.

Trails Into Reverie is happening on Friday, but I am way behind on that series and will not be able to play that game for a good while.

Ready for Part 2 of the new Bleach (July 8), but also making time for Fate / Strange Fake (July 2). I am not particularly happy that A-1 Pictures is handling the show (because Apocrypha looked like shit), but I will give it a shot anyway.

My genre preferences are starting to change.

Discovering haremlit through Kindle Unlimited has caused a whole class of anime to lose its appeal for me. Imagine harem anime, frequently isekai, in which (1) all the characters all of age, (2) sex exists, and (3) protag-kun does something. It is basically published fanfic, and that is all right by me.
