For Grand Theft Auto, is it more appropriate to say San Andreas or V? I feel like either answer would be supported well enough either way.

Does Castlevania: Symphony of the Night count? I'm thinking CV1-CV2-CV3-Super CV4-CV:SotN.

I wouldn't fault anybody who said Mega Man 5, though I don't agree with it personally.

EDIT: SSBU is a great choice, good call.

Hollow Knight -- overrated, but it does some stuff well too like combat and atmosphere. I think I would be less harsh on HK if its world was smaller or its warping system was more flexible. I'll be paying attention to its sequel to see if this issue continues.

Life is Strange 2 -- Square-Enix never caught the same magic LiS1 had with this or LiS:BtS. That said, I have a lot of respect for what they TRIED to do with the morality system by the end of the game with the brothers. I suspect that designer choice of Sean being your immediate impact and Daniel being your long-term impact is what led to other qualms I had with the game though. For example, episodes weren't side-by-side so much as they were spaced out between episodes, resulting in time gaps that made my decisions like what to do with my money feel less important, but it's hard to see long-term impact with Daniel too if this all took place over like a week.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps -- cool game. I probably prefer the original but they're similar in quality.

The Witness -- Jonathan Blow is a master of "tiny gasp of breath at realizing the solution" moments, and holy moly this game is huge. I prefer Braid, but Blow is into masterpiece-gaming.

I had to replay ten minutes' worth for the right to try not losing my only three lives I could get in 20-60 seconds. This happened several times (mostly at the same spot). To each their own, but removing the lives system would have been great in the face of those instadeaths after long periods.

Also got Super Mario 3D All-Stars but I'm not including that in the poll.

Just beat DuckTales Remastered. It's cool, but it definitely retained moments of NES difficulty. Give us a remaster of Quack Shot!

Playing Heavy Rain now (currently at Chapter 7 - The Park).

Counterpoint: once a game goes to where fouls are necessary to catch up, it's trash.

Gonna go with golf here. Watching hole-in-ones are amazing though.

Appreciate the updates here, I'll get them in soon!

Regarding hierarchy, I think I tried to go from most playable to least playable, but you can already tell how that got weird. It's not perfect, but I also don't want to deal with duplicates.

Regarding the costumes, fun additions to the list! We even almost got Boko...real close. I can't confirm this yet but I thought I saw a Cid Highwind spirit in the latest Nintendo Direct about Sephiroth...? Google didn't show me anything here so I could be wrong, but maybe somebody else can confirm or deny.

And I can't believe how close we are to getting the Midgar Zolom on this list.

Coming in late -- fun topic. Biggest question in recent years is CT/LoZ:OoT!

**What if GameFAQs continued doing two contests a year instead of a contest every two years?

I imagine most people started with MM2 anyway, so I recommend to start there. Be sure to try MM1 at some point, but it's the worst and least developed.

Yeah there are tons of fighting games out there, and also it's interesting how that genre can be a popularity launching ploy for a character/games/series/celebrity. We've seen it with racing games too to a smaller degree.

Just wait until this trend launches itself into your favorite RPG series...!

I've been playing Ori 2 (Will of the Wisps) lately. It's got a weird sound glitch going on at the moment, but otherwise I'm really enjoying learning to bash everything again. It's got movement down real well.

I think S&K's levels are better than Sonic 3's. Also, just thinking of S&K automatically invokes Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 for me whereas S3&K excludes Sonic 2 a bit in my mind.

Dr. Mario and Toon Link don't have a chance of out-nominating Mario or Link. It's a longshot, but Sheik could out-nominate Zelda (and Sheik deserves to be in with or without Zelda).
