Also, I was watching some streamer on Twitch today talk about his advice for growing a base. He was playing PUBG (fun to watch, will probably never play) and talked about how for about three years he kept his content exclusively to H1Z1 (fun to watch, sucks to play), except for Fridays when he would play horror games.

That was enough to concentrate a base with a little variety for him, and I bet H1Z1 being multiplayer made it real easy to continue making new content with the same game and fans...PUBG blowing up was just good fortune in his favor.

This is second-hand advice from me so disregard as you see fit, but with that in mind: maybe if there's a multiplayer game ya'll like to play (together, separately, online, etc.) then maybe you could have that be a pillar to build on as you choose your other games.

I usually like to watch games I've already played. I can post some past lists of my favorite games if you wanna get specific!

In general, if you got a Nintendo game and an indie game on Steam going on, then I like my chances on finding something I'll wanna watch -- even if you pick two I haven't played, I know ya'll play more than two games at a time so I ain't stressing.

There are some exceptions though -- I knew I wasn't gonna play Star Fox 2, so that was fun to finally watch.

For what it's worth, your Undertale and Twin Snake runs were my favorites to watch so far! Cuphead was cool too, pretty funny to see ya'll co-op it.

Name recognition will help Kasich next time, fair point. That said, there were a lot of Republicans in 2016 looking for anybody besides Donald and they just couldn't seem to find Kasich, not in the same way not-Hillary voters were able to find Bernie anyway*. If Bernie decides to run again, I feel confident he'll have a big base waiting for him...but I don't feel the same way about Kasich's base waiting for him.

*And there are reasons for not-Donald/Hillary voters to act like that. 2016 was a complex election and their primaries were super-different outside of "the most well-known name won." I just fear more bad luck for Kasich.

This is actually really important especially since with the high likelihood that the Trump Presidency implodes he would be the only Republican not hit by it.

I have yet to see Republicans actually want Kasich though. He was getting, what, 16% or so of 2016's primary votes when it was just a three-way against Trump and Cruz...? It wasn't impressive and I don't know how much Kasich's improved his profile among them. I'm sure being not-Trump matters, but I don't see where Kasich gets that boost over the likes of Cruz yet...and if there's another Trump-like candidate, I don't know that he really gets hurts enough for being like Trump for Kasich to keep it close.

I mean, hopefully Kasich can do well -- he was my favorite Republican from 2016 -- but also that's kind of his problem among Republicans.

Anything could change in a big way if the implosion truly happens, granted. I'm just cautious to say he gets that boost with the "I told you so" card.

I think he should be pardoning anybody whos been indicted and make it clear that anybody else who gets indicted would be pardoned immediately, said Frederick Fleitz, a former CIA analyst and senior vice president at the conservative Center for Security Policy.

The pleas for mercy mainly extend to the four former Trump aides who have already been swept up in the Russia probe: former campaign manager Paul Manafort, former deputy campaign manager Rick Gates, former national security adviser Michael Flynn and former campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos. But they dont stop there.

Its kind of cruel whats going on right now and the president should put these defendants out of their misery, said Larry Klayman, a conservative legal activist. I think he should pardon everybody and pardon himself.

The biggest gain for Democrats if Romney wins is that he'll be more likely to vote for impeaching Donald than most Republicans. I have my doubts if he can still persuade a lot of other Republicans like that, but there's hope -- especially if it comes with the blue wave we're predicting at this time.

Just to be clear with the conversation about Donald's statements on guns VS bombs: there's not a National Bomb Association that donated $21,000,000 to Donald's campaign, nor is there one that donated $36,600,000 total to Republicans in the 2016 election.

The effectiveness of a gun VS bomb is interesting enough for a conversation, but let's not forget that backdrop and why Donald might have a bias.

Friendly reminder that the NRA supported Donald more in 2016 than any other Presidential candidate in history.

Since the election:

About a year ago Donald repealed a law about banning guns from people with certain mental illnesses.

I think it was May when a Republican politician was shot in baseball practice. He came back a few months later and spoke in favor of guns.

In October, the NRA went back on their word about banning bump stocks after Mandalay Bay's record-sized mass shooting.

Oh, or is now not the time to talk about any of that yet? Feeling for Florida and wishing for decisions that will lead to greater peace.

BUZZFEED - The Education Department Officially Says It Will Reject Transgender Student Bathroom Complaints

Finally on Thursday, Liz Hill, a spokesperson for the agency, responded yes, thats what the law says when asked again if the Education Department holds a current position that restroom complaints from transgender students are not covered by a 1972 federal civil rights law called Title IX.

Asked for further explanation on the departments position, Hill said Friday, Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, not gender identity.

She added that certain types of transgender complaints may be investigated but not bathroom complaints.

Where students, including transgender students, are penalized or harassed for failing to conform to sex-based stereotypes, that is sex discrimination prohibited by Title IX, Hill said. In the case of bathrooms, however, long-standing regulations provide that separating facilities on the basis of sex is not a form of discrimination prohibited by Title IX.

The New York Democrat, speaking in a video she tweeted, said she made her decision "because of the corrosive effect of corporate money in politics."

Gillibrand, who is up for re-election this year, said one reason shes concerned about money in politics is the Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United vs. FEC. The 2010 decision helped pave the way for super PACs that may spend unlimited money in support of candidates as long as the political action committees operate independently of political campaigns.

We have a system where corporations can spend unlimited money that isn't even disclosed so there's no transparency, she said.

Gillibrand has received more than $1 million in PAC contributions between 2013 and 2018, with more than 68% from business groups, 7% from labor and more than 24% from ideological groups, according to a Center for Responsive Politics analysis of Federal Election Commission data.
