Digital on launch night, and usually physical for somewhat older games. Digital almost always ensures getting the game as soon as possible (thanks to time zones, Nintendo games always come out three hours early digitally in my area). And in general I like the convenience of having each game on the hard drive, able to switch between at will, and not adding more physical items in my collection to find space for. Over the years all the pre-digital games have added up, and all my drawers are full.

But it's been a bit of time since the game's launch, it's almost always cheaper to get a used physical copy, so I go for that instead.

I've only ever known of cassette players that have separate play and stop buttons. If I recall correctly, the play button locks in while playing, and the stop button releases it.

Oh, oh, and there's also a mobile app called HelloTalk which matches you with native speakers who want to learn your language, so you can have back and forth conversations and learn from eachother. I haven't used it much at all yet but I've heard great things and the idea is excellent at least.

For kanji, I actually do recommend a paid website: Wanikani. It basically game-ifies kanji learning by giving you reviews of learned kanji at regular intervals based on how well you've been proven to remember them. The more times you get it right in a row, the longer it will be until the next review, until eventually it's convinced you've burned it into your mind. Every level teaches the radicals that make up the kanji, the kanji themselves, and a bunch of vocabulary words in which that kanji is used.

Make sure you actually get the Battle version and not just vanilla. You can't 100% the game without Chao Karate.

As long as you don't give enough defining characteristics of the movie that it's impossible to determine I think that might be fine. But you'd have to be extremely careful about making sure there's no possible context in which that specific movie could be linked. For example, if the main character dies at the end of a blockbuster hit that just came out last week, and you make a post saying you just saw "a movie where the main character dies at the end", I'd say that's enough to break the rule. Context is really important.

While steam technically allows hentai games, they tend to only allow more softcore ones. Any hardcore ones that are on there usually need an uncensor patch.

Sengoku Rance is pretty fun, but kind of difficult.

I played a translated version of it a year or so ago.

Mhmm, the fanslation of Sengoku Rance was what brought the series into the eyes of a western audience for the first time. It had been going on for years and nobody over here even knew about it! So Sengoku getting an official release is a REALLY big deal.

Rock Band 1. While the game itself is great, the instruments are trash, and take up the majority of the price. The drums cost MORE than the game, and had a major issue where they'd frequently track a single tap as a double tap, making them functionally worthless in a game where perfection is mandatory.

Removed all unplayed PS+ games and any bundle games where I didn't buy the bundle with the explicit intent to play that specific game. Plus nulled Steam games since why even bother.

Additionally, all downloadable games have been moved under the applicable system rather than in a separate system listing, since there's really fundamentally no difference and I buy more games digitally anyway. PC is still sectioned between physical, downloads, and Steam, though, since it's still important to differentiate Steam from the wide variety of alternative distribution platforms.

Sengoku was expected, didn't expect them to do Quest this soon at all though.

Time to get back to catching up with the series. I've still got 4.1, 4.2, Kichikuou, 5D, and 6 to play through.

For those not aware: Sengoku Rance is a legendarily incredible and awesome turn-based strategy game in the long-running and universally beloved Rance series, which is a hentai game series about a conscienceless serial rapist with an unending ego who just kind of accidentally saves the world every once in a while (and usually does a half-assed job of it). Sengoku is legit the best strategy game I've ever played. It has incredible replay value: it's impossible to even see the entire story in one playthrough since every enemy faction has its own story which can play out differently depending on the order (or even if) you fight them, and after beating the game once you can up the difficulty by a tonload (and it's not that much a cakewalk the first time through, either).

Rance Quest is a Dragon Quest style JRPG, apparently. I haven't seen much of it since by the time it came out I was already playing the older games with intent of working my way up.
