I think this comparison speaks a lot to the flawed art direction of N. Sane Trilogy. Crash ends up looking better in the Switch version thanks to the downgrade. Crash was designed to look good with the original low polygon limitations: he's a character with a literal hard edge. With the fuzzy fur effects removed from the Switch version, Crash's edges are a bit sharper. I still think it's aesthetically a big step down from his PS1 model, but it's a major improvement from the PS4 version.

This is the same reason I think the Spyro trilogy fares a tonload better: Spyro wasn't designed to be whacky and zany like Crash. He was designed to look adorable. Rounding out his edges strengthens his design rather than countering it.

You can spawn in money with debug mode, in addition to being able to spawn in literally everything. It's basically a question of "Do you want X, or do you want X+Y?"

I legitimately suggest, if you preferred Black Ops 1 and 2, to continue playing Black Ops 1 and 2. While it's nice to see a sequel that brings back elements you liked, I don't think we should expect them to come out and should look at every new game based on its own merits. If you don't like the direction a sequel goes in, treat it the same as you would a new IP that heads in exactly the same direction.

An adorable show about an ultra adorable chibi red panda who uses death metal to secretly express how much she hates her life and everybody in it.

There's a 10 episode OVA series that just launched on Netflix (subbed and dubbed) in addition to 100 minute-long episodes from the last couple years and I can't recommend it enough.

It's also canon to Hello Kitty and I can't wait for Retsuko to show up in the next Hello Kitty and Sanrio Friends Racing sequel.

Did these idle games you were playing include Cookie Clicker and/or Clicker Heroes? Those are the only idle games I play (without spending any money on either of them). But they don't take up much of my time, because I don't do everything I could do to advance; mostly they just run in the background while my computer is on.

Clicker Heroes is one of them. I was almost done with all the actual progression-related achievements, but the big timesink was the mercenary achievements. You have to do a ludicrous number of every separate variety of mission, meaning you have to actively keep the game open and swapping to it every 5 to 15 minutes or so, and you'll still only be making miniscule progress.

Maybe record a couple around the same time to have a couple of releases ready so you can find a better way to manage time... maybe...

My goal for the last month has been trying to get a buffer of videos going but I haven't managed it. xP

Also yeah it's shocking how quickly Pocket Camp tanked for me. By the time they added crafting clothing I was already tapped out.

The sad thing is it would have been fine if they didn't do limited-time events so often that required constant play. They did listen to people and made sure every event after that first gardening one wasn't as huge a timesink, but they're still a decent chunk of time.

They aren't games. They literally aren't. Their purpose is not fun, but addiction. They are specifically designed for this so that they can exploit people who are weak to these tactics and will spend money on them.

The thing is I don't even spend money on them. That would be cheating. :X

Dang, Fire Emblem's like that too? I expected it would be closer to playing an actual Fire Emblem game given how the playstyle would translate so well onto a touch screen.

I don't think these are healthy for me. I'm falling behind in my Japanese studies by virtue of seemingly not having enough time in the day, but simultaneously I'm wasting tons of time on these attention sinkers in the hopes of one day finishing them. The only value in finishing them is never having to play them again -- and turns out I can just cheat and stop playing them now, instead.

This also means deleting Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, because they do seemingly one-time-only event items way too frequently. The first gardening event was hell and basically took over my life.

Time to have real free time again~

We know four things that call this event into question, just from those two statements: it happened long enough ago that it's not just possible, but most likely for you to misremember the details; it happened at a young age when you were less likely to recognize your eyes playing tricks on you; it happened at night when you were likely not able to properly see; and it happened when you were in a less-than-fully-awake state.
