Where, in general, is there? Cause I gotta say I rarely see such extremes in areas where the min wage has not increased. In fact many of them still have places for $500-$600 for 1 bedrooms. I'm not saying cost of living hasn't gone up, but in general it hasn't over doubled in 4 years in most places that min wage did not increase drastically.

And yeah homelessnes, or having to rent a room/have roomates etc, is skyrocketing.

To be fair, part of the reason the cost of living is so obscene here is because we have a church *coughcultcough* buying up as much land as they can and deliberately screwing with the town's economy in order to seize more control. However, this just proves our point; the landlords who own the property are to blame, not wage increases (which don't exist here anyway).

A fair wage is what the employee consensually agrees to be paid when he/she accepts employment from their employer. If an individual feels the wage is not fair and/or worthy of what they bring to the table as an employee, they can seek employment elsewhere. Thats it, its that simple.

Unless of course, there is no work to be had that pays well. I'm sure that doesn't happen ever. :-/

Going off on a tangent, the #1 form of theft is wage theft. Consensual contracts don't mean jack when your boss is a crook.

Min wage here is 7.25, hasn't budged. Cost of living in this area is obscene and rising, has been for decades. I found out after he left the area that one of my co-workers was homeless and hiding it from everyone because he was ashamed. Pretty sure he's not the only one.

It's also a red herring, because if the people being abducted had done anything illegal, they would not have been released without charges as soon as they demanded lawyers.

So the straw man isn't even relevant to the issue at hand.

The question is not "should rioters be arrested?" The question is, "do you think the government should be able to abduct anyone they want at any time with no need for justification when doing so?"

If your answer boils down to "yes because I assume the victim disagrees with me politically and that they're a criminal despite a complete lack of evidence or charges" then congratulations: you're an authoritarian.

This is not a proper solution to wealth hoarding; not hard at all to dodge this kind of law.

If you want to rectify wealth inequality then you must put in ground up changes; to softball random examples.... CEOs and investors are not permitted to be paid more than eight times the lowest wage worker. Bonuses are equally distributed among employees. Employees are guaranteed stock shares of the company they work at and a baseline % of shares that employees must own should be set to curtail worker abuse. Etc... Or you're just going to end up with more convoluted variations of extreme wealth disparities caused by the wealthiest people having more or less complete control.

I am currently working as a COVID-19 screener for a nursing facility of sorts. While I haven't yet had anyone throw an outright tantrum, it's absurd how often people bitch and moan about having to wash their hands with alcohol sanitizer and wait 5-10 seconds for my non-contact thermometer to take their temperature. You'd think I was punching them in the face or something with how put-upon they act. I even had some douchebag couple trick the staff into getting access to the facility without being screened (one pretended the other was late, then they circled around the building and told other workers that I had screened them). :-/

Nah, not true at all. LA is solid, especially with its Switch version getting rid of most of the things that dated the original (story is still about a subtle as getting hit with a sack of bricks, but what can you do?). OoX games are great, though each has like one or two things that are frustrating but I think that applies to most games. MC is not as strong as OoX, imo, but still solid. ALBW was great fun for me (loved ALttP) so I might be a little biased in its favor, admittedly.

I like Spirit Tracks; I think it's charming and fixed most of the issues I had with PH. PH is, imo, still worth playing, but... gonna be real with you here, other than the original Legend of Zelda, PH is my least favorite official Zelda game. The only thing that really stands out to me about PH is Linebeck and that's just not good enough; even most of the music is not worth mentioning (and yes, this means I like Zelda 2 more than PH and LoZ).

Ha, that question isn't possible to answer.

Prioritizing lyrics? You're going to want something poetic that emphasizes vocals and is probably fairly modern. If you want vocal or instrumental technique you'll probably go for a classical or jazz song. It's hard to come up with a song that has some sort of perfect mash of great lyrics, stunning technique, excellent vocals, and is easy to listen to all at once. Like... I could say that The Decemberists have some really great songs in terms of lyrics but let's face it, those vocals are definitely not for everyone. Spem in Alium is a beautiful song (I found the King's Singers version of the song years and years ago and when I first played it for someone, they started crying from it) but it doesn't have instruments and its lyrics are just religious text in the form of an extremely complex round that turns the song more into a pure interplay of vocal sound than a song with a message you're supposed to get. Metal songs can have extraordinary percussive performances but their vocals often leave something to be desired for people. Complexity is impressive but not necessarily as impactful or memorable as starkness (I think a lot of Beatles songs are pretty good examples of this), and one is not necessarily "better" than the other.

*shrug* If you're just asking for music recommendations, that's different, lol.

1. False, and what does this even mean anyway? Physical comfort, how? I am not discomforted by the presence or uplifting of PoC. Emotional comfort, from what? Not having to do any introspection and self-improvement? Not having to actually worry about problems in the world and therefore be able to sit back and ignore them while they fester like useless dead-weight? If that's what comfort means, then I don't want it; I have no interest in maintaining apathy in the face of potential improvement.
2. False, and to suggest that uplifting PoC would cause us to lose it is quite telling.
3. Honestly this is the one that really betrays what all this is about. Doesn't even warrant a proper response; it's just gross. :-/
4. False. No one's forcing you to do jack shit with your relationships. This is projection from people who want to tell you which adults you can and can't marry, and some of whom want to control whether or not you can divorce, whether or not you can control if/when you have children, etc... where do they get off trying to fearmonger about your personal relationships when they try to insert their ass-backwards bull into people's personal lives at every turn?
5. I assume that this is referring to non-PoC actors/actresses playing characters of color when actors/actresses of color are often starved for good work. We already have hiring practices that prioritize getting the right gender for a given role so I don't get why this is such a sensationalized issue considering that it seems like most if not all actors/actresses have no problem with this.

So basically every single bullet point is a strawman argument for the purposes of fearmongering that will only sound reasonable to people who, apparently, think that white people should "have control over other people." Which... well, you can't say that Fox doesn't know its audience, lol.

If it's injured, use the same method and call a rescue. Don't call cops; cops will always be more inclined to kill something than behave rationally, because then they would have to actually think.

Anyway, no I'm not scared of fucking bats of any size or species because I'm not an idiot. Dogs carry the same exact risk that bats do, except that a dog can fucking KILL YOU with its jaws alone but you don't see people going all hysterical over dogs, do you?
