So I ran out and grabbed the snow shovel in my yard, and ran into the playground and started swinging it at heads. If you were asking about individual systems, this would be easier to answer. I will say that for all the flak it gets for weak hardware, the Switch is easily the best system to buy if you also have a game-worthy PC.

I'm concerned they haven't actually added anything I was hoping for with respect to BotW's formula. The game just didn't have anything meaningful to find in its overworld the vast, vast majority of the time, and TotK is not going to have the excuse of being the first of its kind in the series to hide behind if it continues that trend.

I HOPE that there's more enemy variety, and they have shown a couple new enemies, but... No. I mean like I want twice as many enemy types as BotW. With the sheer amount of reused assets, they have no excuse for skimping this time around, not with such a huge overworld. It NEEDS variety.

Haven't seen dungeons. Haven't seen bosses/mini-bosses/unique enemies of any kind. Haven't seen much of anything I was actually hoping to see, tbh.

And this is extremely petty, but the equipment fusion system looks really dumb. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun, but oh my god. The aesthetics bother me. Oh well. I'll get over that one, I'm sure.

Let's start a list of JRPGs with GOOD final dungeons. FFVI.

Honestly I don't see how VI's is particularly high above the standard final dungeon. That's not to say it's bad, but it's not that much better.

I really like FFIV and V's final dungeons. IV, like III, has a lot of optional bosses guarding gear, and some interesting encounters. V throws boss fight after boss fight at you but it doesn't get old... actually, I think I just like having lots of interesting bosses thrown at me and rewarding me with gear/moves.

The Tales of series has some good ones. I like Eldrant from Tales of the Abyss, for example, it's one of my favorite final areas in games, period. Every scene in it is great, the boss fights are tense, and the locale, a recreation of a city that was destroyed years ago, its people massacred, is simultaneously austere and horrifying in its emptiness. Eternia and Symphonia have some solid final areas too.

Dragon Quest VI? Dragon Quest XI's wasn't bad either, come to think of it.

SMT has some good ones, too.

It's more fun with multiplayer (unlike crafted world, which is a nightmare with multiplayer as you snap onto each other's backs and accidentally sabotage each other's jumps).

I was burnt on the Harry Potter franchise back before JK Rowling started being an ass. The 7th book was garbage, along with every movie after the 2nd. The 7th movie was the last one I watched and I didn't want to watch the last one. I thought the entire franchise was a whole bunch of schlock by 2010, so I don't really care about any of the new games. The lore is a fucking mess along with every part of the extended universe. They're trying to expand a poorly written children's book.

This is pretty similar to my own experience with the series. Just sick of it.

I think FF2 suffers from this the most out of the pre-2000s games. A lot of the games have bosses that are just "oh no, there's a monster behind us!" or something, and 2 has the most of those, I think. IX also has quite a few of those, but it's hardly the only one that does so, and like most of them, the bosses that aren't like that are the easiest to remember.

You know which game is great at using mostly relevant bosses? FFIV. Almost every single boss is either story-related or has some sort of cut-scene+important gimmick related to and and/or introduces an important character until you get to the final dungeon, where it has a bunch of gear guarding optional bosses. I think I could just outright list every one of them right now if I tried.

Winter. Used to be spring, but I have allergies that are bad in every other season than Winter now and it kinda kills my affection for them.

No, but honestly while I used to be into talking about it a lot in my teens, I don't see the point anymore. Yes, my vision is extremely blurry and I also have astigmatism. I recently got new glasses and when it rains, my astigmatism causes all lights to have coronas (you know, rainbows).

There is literally nothing you can say about trans care that a trans person has not gone out of their way to learn far more about than you. What "maintenance" a person engages in, what is and isn't necessary for them, and whether or not it is worth it to them is something they can determine without you, and again, if you think you have more insight on this than actual trans people, that they need a warning about things that they are far more educated on than you, you should probably think a bit about how this comes off... This just comes off as you thinking trans people haven't all already considered this. They have.

That's actually incredibly common for autistic people due to "special interests/hyperfixations" as they're called. The extreme breadth of knowledge about a given topic + lack of proper social performance result in a lot of autistic people getting shit for "lecturing" people or being smarmy know-it-alls or whatever when they're not. Most people experience it every once in a while but it's like... a weekly thing for autistic people, if not more common than that.

One good thing to come out of all this is that people are probably conducting more searches to make sure more classified documents are found and returned.
