Poll of the Day > All female police force. Yeah or Nah?

How about a simple solution to most of the problems with the police force right now. We start phasing out all the male police officers and eventually have a fully female police force.

While bigotry etc may still exist, for the most part the toxic officers will be gone, and hopefully additional changes (body cams, different training, alternative options to shooting people etc) can finish off the process.

So what do you think of an all female police force?

please learn set theory. something is "all-female" if all of its members are female. if it has 0 members, it's trivially true that all its members are female

for example, all negative natural numbers are prime, because negative natural numbers is an empty set (there are no negative numbers >= 0). all members of the empty set are prime, because
x in {} : P(x)
is true regardless of P

this comes up A LOT in proofs by induction

I wonder if guys would commit crimes just to get frisked/patted down by the cops?

But yeah, if they took like martial arts and worked out and stuff, they could prob handle the average dude if needed.

Another option is just to have the female cops be the ones in charge, and there is always a female cop with a male cop basically to reign them in.

Almost nothing I post is totally serious, and when I am totally serious, I usually state it directly cause, you know, I'm not normally totally serious.

Doesn't mean I'm not interested in the responses, just also doesn't mean I really think we should have an all woman police force.

Isn't there an anime about just about anything at this point, although I'm amazed it wasn't henti.

You could also have seperate divisions, and one of them is all female, but still have integrated divisions as well.

I think this is an interesting point - I would say that it turns on how you define "all apple" pie.

I could certainly say "all of the filling in this pie crust is apple" but I don't think I could say that the empty pie crust is "an apple pie".

For a police force, I don't think a police force with zero officers is like a pie with no filling. For example, a futuristic police force could still be considered a police force if it exclusively used autonomous drones. It would be strange to call those drones "police officers" if they didn't identify as individuals. But a pie with no filling seems to me that it is missing a constitutive element of piehood

I think the arg "It is not an all-female police force because a police force must definitionally have police officers" is more compelling to me because it is logically valid. But I still disagree with its premise since I can imagine a police force with no officers.

I wouldn't qualify that pie as an apple pie though, although in theory you could call it a fillingless apple pie, which is basically just a pie crust, and you can imagine that it was meant to be an apple pie, so therefore it's a fillingless apple pie.

A police force with no officers though, could actually still be an all female police force because, well, all the female officers were killed. There are currently no officers in the force, but the force is still all female (so any future officers that join would also be female).

Part of the add on bonus for joining the all female police force is the automatic ability to shoot their husbands and the person their husband is sleeping with if they are caught cheating. They figured they would just get in front of the issue.

"all" is equivalent to "not any not". "all female" is the same as saying "not any non-female". there is some debate over this though; it's called a "vacuous truth" since it's only true because it doesn't really say anything.

Yeah, that was a massive letdown after Excess.
Easily the worst in the series, unless a new one's come out since Scramble, maybe.

Excess was a lot of fun and actually had a decent plot by the end when it all came together.
