Scum in this spot will absolutely need a town to die and hope it's either a good role or at least that several good roles get revealed on the way to a mislynch.

If Ulti is suggesting a mass then clearly the correct answer is to reveal absolutely no information and skip to tomorrow. We don't even have to worry about info roles hitting godfather anymore.

You'd be shocked at the number of people who are trying it (both last year and this year) and the extra work it creates makes our manual review process take so much longer. It won't be an issue if your information is all accepted automatically (which should be the case for most people who file correctly), but on the off chance you get selected for a review prepare to wait a long ass time thanks to those jokers.

That issue is actually somewhat nuanced. California passed a similar kind of "lookback" period for sexual crimes to be brought forward though in our case it was by the end of 2022, and someone made a claim against the pastor of my church, a claim that literally was not possible. The allegation was that my pastor committed abuse against this John Doe before he even moved to california or lived in the town in question or pastored at the church that the abuse allegedly occurred in (and actually at that point the church was located in a different part of town). Not only was it false, but there's no physical way for it to have been true. But if you are spamming allegations (presumably in hopes for a quiet settlement??) then I guess you don't care about any of that, and that's what this guy seemed to be doing.

But every step of the process involved delays, largely waiting on the plaintiff (or his counsel) to actually provide any kind of substantive information. But it was a whole lot of "plaintiff and lawyer did not show up for court appearance, reschedule in 6 weeks". "Still no word from plaintiff, reschedule in 6 weeks". "Plaintiff's lawyer dropped plaintiff and now plaintiff needs additional time to find new representation, reschedule in 6 weeks". All in all the process took over a year and my pastor paid tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees that he will not get back, even now that the case was dismissed WITHOUT prejudice.

Now why his lawyers (who I guess he was referred to by the church district? idk) required so much money for not having to actually do anything? That I don't know. I'm guessing the entire process could have been handled much more cost effectively, but the big winners in the whole equation were the legal counsel so maybe they weren't incentivized to speed the process along, but the entire situation was shitty and basically put him half of his annual salary in the hole.

This isn't a situation where he discussed the issue from the pulpit to seek out financial assistance or anything. It's something I found out about because I'm family friends with the pastor and his kids so I only knew about it from other channels. Once I found out about it I pulled up all the civil court documents because they are public record so I could follow along with the case' progress throughout the year.

Which is all to say that people who have been the victim of sexual crimes should absolutely be given the opportunity to have their day in court, but it's also a system that I have personally seen abused. And the man who filed the false suit? Nothing will happen to him. My pastor could potentially file countersuit for legal fees/damages, but then he'll be out even MORE lawyer fees only for a judgement to be levied against someone who realistically will never be able to pay off the debt. It just sucked all around.

I'm fine if you want to give me the badge of Town LVP, sure. But I'm not going to pretend I was the lone weakness in an otherwise stellar town game. We had MZero's successful day scan and then not much else in our favor.

Day lasted the same 48 hours. What magic communication that was going to unlock the game did we lose access to?

Day 3 had next to no posts and no activity. Less than a page of posts in 24+ hours. Then I pulled the trigger and 4+ pages materialized. Let's not pretend like we were on a high speed rail to victory. My vote didn't count for two if it was laid early, it could only be used as the final two nails in a lynch that already had momentum. For better or worse Lopen has momentum and he was either scum or town who was loud wrong.

Though as it turns out he was loud wrong town who got to CONTINUE to be loud wrong town even after his death.

It was a fun game and an interesting exercise in role-playing, would do it again.

Oh right, I never admitted that I could be lynched with 1 fewer vote. Good thing too or Sultan and Corrik just kill me. Glad it never happened on accident.

Mostly because I don't think it could be NEITHER of MZero and Sultan.

But Corrik has done next to nothing and Sbell has done very little as well outside of the day he couldn't be voted. I didn't have a reason to point to either of them as a town read.

Maybe Sbell just alternates between being unvoteable on even days and not being able to vote on odd days?

That doesn't specify a lynch occurs with 3 votes, and that would be pretty crazy if true. An absolute departure from how majority voting works.

But if lynch DOES occur at 3 votes then you are 100% scum so that makes today easier.

Otherwise any other 2 scum could use Lopen's vote to hammer you.

My interpretation is that 3 scum would win the game right now regardless of towns ability to wield extra voting power (Lopen and myself)

Difference between votes to lynch and scum parity

In a world where Chris is town then scum to me would have to be:

-one of Sultan and MZero
-one of Corrik and Sbell

And if Chris is scum then second scum is probably still between Sultan and MZero. Between their variety of actions I don't see them both being town. Mzero froze a vote and Sultan created a spare vote and I can't see scum getting BOTH of those powers, but maybe 1? The vote freeze could have a condition that it can't be used at mylo and the spare vote might be required to be given to town.

And there's just not much to say about Corrik or Sbell. Sbell couldn't be voted on day 2, I Guess we could test of he's voteable today for science?

But at the end of the day I'm still prepared to hinge the game on a Chris lynch.

I don't think it "takes 3" unless I am the 3rd. I think it would take 4 votes to lynch still, but scum would win if the were 3 of them.

So all we've confirmed is that it wasn't a 5 man scum team, but we pretty well assumed that anyways.

If Chris is town then we actually don't have a chance and should just rip the band-aid and get it over with, because I AM town and I don't see a version of today that doesn't end with one of us being lynched.

Easter Sunday is busy so I missed the switch.

I still don't understand what Chris's "This happened... Right" thing is all about. I just know I got labeled anti fun for not playing along so I played along the next time, but otherwise have no idea what in game mechanical purpose it may have.

I am absolutely fine with killing Chris today, and the fact that you think my infinite use power could possibly be scum is pretty crazy.

And then MZero suggesting it should be me first seems like he could be Chris's scummate trying to end the game. I think host saying that scum would have majority at 3/6 and would win even if town had the ability to cast enough votes. So if we miss today I think we lose tomorrow regardless of my ability to hammer or Lopens ghostly vote.

Lopen going out of his way to take virtually every position imaginable makes sense now after seeing his flip, that's a pretty awesome role.

Why in the world would Lopen lie about his alignment after hes already been lynched? Yeah I fully trust dead Lopen. I dont think hes a weirdo posting 50 times and pretending to solve even though hes officially dead and his flip is inevitable.

He would not be the first dead to rights scum to maintain their own innocence. Especially if he thinks there is an ability out there that might save him. Personally I don't see why my ability couldn't be overruled by a standard mayor and it seemed like we might have had one of those floating around.

This game is basically down to people voting at this point.

The Cthulhu is a monkey's paw for scum. Indirectly got me on FD's trail harder today (for the wrong reason maybe but it did send me that way-- FD humoring mzero as scum also though) and then made scum look hella bad because they didn't feel like trying to sort out my logic.

Lopen, if you are town then all you are doing right now is ensuring that I get mislynched tomorrow. But if you're town you'll find that out in DTC soon enough I guess. Just think you might want to mitigate the caused by your own lynch in that scenario.
