He's the first president in my lifetime that's at least attempted to do the exact things he promised he was going to do.
Even if the courts stop him. Even if congress doesn't play ball.
He's at least tried.
And the fact that the individual mandate is finally gone is a damn miracle and one I never thought I would see happen after that crappy SCOTUS upheld it.

So I would give him a solid A for his first year.

I didn't vote for him to act presidential. To not rant. To not upset people. To not go to Florida. To not go out of his way to drive the media into a tizzy over whatever. To win popularity polls. Or anything else.
I voted for that man (and will do so again) to get our government to focus on our well being and our own damn country for a change. And he has.

Where I'm at right now with my feelings on TLJ. Saw it twice. Wouldn't have but we had tickets. It was pure shit imho.
I'm placing it only above TPM and AOTC but the more time passes, the more I think about it. The more I wonder if it truly belongs beneath even those.

Because for all the problems the PT had. And there were a lot of problems. And I'm not absolving them of their abject terribleness. I think you can chalk all the issues in the PT up to the in general incompetence of George Lucas calling all the shots. Merchandising and general incompetence.
But with TLJ. The only thing that I feel wafting off this turd is maliciousness from it's sole writer and director. All it's bs. It's throwing away of introduced plot points from TFA. The disrespect of Luke's character. The plot holes. The terrible, terrible writing.
It feels intentional. It's bad in a way that feels directly intentional. A big "fuck you" to it all.

I can dismiss the PT as incompetence.
But TLJ feels intentionally malicious in every way.

It absolutely feels like asshole Rian Johnson never even watched a SW movie before. Didn't care about established characters, already introduced plot elements or the rules by which certain things function in that universe. It's so complete in it's dismantling of everything it handles that it can't possibly be anything other than intentional.

Worked in manufacturing for a little bit.
6 days a week. 2-11pm with an hour lunch which I hated. Sometimes went to 1am. No AC in the warehouse. Filled with plastics dust. On your feet all day. I was only needed for about 2 hours of the whole time I was there every day. At best. The worst was reaching into hoppers to air blast the plastic particulates out and then grinding down the larger pieces in a back room. They gave you small breathing masks but it didn't help. You get completely covered and breath in all this ultra fine plastic dust. Think like regular dust that accumulates on stuff in your house. But tons of it where it lifts off everything like clouds that accumulates every day.

I got this terrible problem breathing one day at home and went to an extended care doctor after a few days. It was a very bad allergic/bronchial infection. I can't even remember the name now. But it was bad and the doc suspected this dust I was breathing was the source. I had to call off a few days. I hadn't been there long and of course didn't have any medical so I got let go for failure to show. And to be honest. I've never been so thankful to lose a job. God only knows what I may have now if I remained. And then theres all those other people that worked there. They're all going to get lung cancer or something from that stuff.

You would think as a vet she would have some drug or something she could have slipped it in a piece of meat to off it. Why a gun?

Eh. I've been there with a neighbor a few times over all these years. Damn loud yapping dogs that don't shut up. Just constant barking all damn night. Luckily I've been able to solve the problem once I literally scream at the top of my lungs at 3am into the night to shut the fuck up. And the one time that didn't work a call to the police put an end to it. Having the police wake your bum ass up at 3am over your pos dog barking puts you on notice that your neighbors have had enough of your shit.
Thank god both neighbors involved in that are long gone.

But you know. If the people don't do anything about it, the cops can't stop it. And it just continues day after day, night after night. Well yeah. I don't blame someone that puts a stop to it. It may be someone elses' animal but it's your bloody peace, quiet and sanity.

At least the cats in heat I can throw something at or turn the sprinklers on and it puts a stop to that for the night.

But for me. My old standby is the large Pennsylvania Dutch brand eggnog with the brandy already added I get from Costco. Mmmmm, in about 22 hours I'll be so relaxed and content the world could be ending and I wouldn't give a crap. Besides, it's necessary to get me through the wearisome midnight mass we go to. I hate the priests here. I can't understand what the hell they're babbling about half the time and the other half they're criticizing us for expecting too much from them. (ie being there to do mass at the designated times, Seriously. these lazy assholes get angry that people expect them to do their jobs). Also because I am not waking my ass up to go to church at 7am. Have a slice or whole grain bread with your meal. Good for you and helps fill you up so you don't overindulge on the main course or dessert.
Some pasta with parma cheese on it.
A rice like Basmati or Calrose.
A green salad with a low fat vinaigrette like raspberry, champagne, or lemon. Or italian dressing. Throw some tomatoes on it and keep a jar of artichoke hearts in the fridge to throw a few on the salad too.

Hell they even removed all the trees, bushes and outside tables at my old elementary school. Use to have this beautiful green shaded property. Those trees were there even in old pictures of the place from the 1930s. All gone. They don't even let the kids go play on the grass areas anymore where all the equipment and playing fields use to be. And security guards monitor the kids at recess constantly. They keep them all to a small area on the concrete like prisoners. Only prisoners have equipment.

This was many moons ago now. A coworker had some jerk send his steak back because there was too much meat juices on the plate and it was over seasoned. This was after complaining about the service and being a loud ass. I was in the back changing out the drinks and she walked over behind the screen where the customers couldn't see and started mimicking him. So she grabbed the filthy cleaning rag I had left nearby, picked up the steak, wiped up all the juice with the rag. Then started licking the steak clean and wiped it with the same rag. And she was doing it all with this little cutesy almost anime like over exaggerated maid routine while cussing. I mean holy shit was it entertaining. He deserved it though. She put it back and took it out to him. I had to walk out a little later to the floor when she happened to be checking up on him and he was commenting that it was to his liking.

So yeah. Never be rude to your waitress. Never send food back over some picky bs like the veggies being over cooked. Only if they bring out the wrong plate entirely or if something like chicken is genuinely still a bit raw.

I'm in the San Gorgoino Pass. You want smoke? Multiple times we've had the mountain just 4 blocks from me go up in flames. The Esperanza Fire where those 5 firefighters died was one. I can see the area they died in from my front yard. Then there's all the hills going up to Big Bear on the other side of me and the indian reservation hillsides that go up all the time. Yeah it's smokey, you cough, you can't see the sky through the smoke as the wind keeps the smoke near ground level here. It's a damn sight to behold when it's that close. But in all honesty I have bigger issues with the wind and dirt. It's like a fog outside right now there's so much dirt in the air. You can see the headlight beams of cars on the road.

It's a cycle. It only takes a few years for all the vegetation to grow back and dry up. Then another fire. These aren't trees we're talking about out here. This is dense brush (of the tumbleweed type) and manzanita. The former grow as large as a car in one year and the later grow back to 12-15 feet in a few years.

We always have huge fires out here in the fall. These ones aren't even that bad. The winds are hitting my bedroom wall right now. I'm in a pass and the gusts are 70+ right now. It howls around the corner and sounds like a wave crashing.
But leave it to the news to over blow everything. Because people not from around here probably see it on tv and think "Omg how horrible." But no. This isn't anything new or unique. It's like this every year. And again. This isn't even that bad.

And bar for a few exceptions in all these fires and mudslides in the winter. These homes are these multi million dollar palaces of excess (mansion or track home) that are all built in areas where no homes should be. For exactly this reason. But oh nos. God forbid the natural terrain and surrounding hillsides with zero fire access stand in the way of these billionaire home developers building their next monstrosity of a plan.
And all these people say the same damn thing when being interviewed as they look at the ash pile that was their home. "We know the risks but it's just so beautiful we're going to rebuild." Every single time. You know. I have no sympathy then.

Talk to myself. And I mean like have complete conversations with myself for hours sometimes, answering/asking myself questions. As if there's multiple mes. It's not like I'm struggling to do it or that I do it on purpose, it's like second nature. It just happens.
I really do think I'm beginning to lose my mind sometimes because this can't be normal.

Other than that then just being naked. Not now when it's 50 degrees inside this uninsulated house and 40 outside with 50mph winds. Naked is spring/summer/fall.

1998 Rav4
2001 Accord

I would rather keep putting money into repairing my babies than go through the hell of buying one of these screen filled office desks that almost all cars after 2010 have become. I'm driving these until they both die and are beyond repair. Now they both have paint issues these days but I don't think there's any place within 40 miles that can take care of it. Which living in a mountain pass with 24/7 wind blowing in sand from the desert is about right. Which literally begins about 1.5 miles from me where our town ends. But they're still running great.

I've never had anything bad from them. Their breaded veal patties for veal parmigiana are amazing. Everything else is at best okay and at worst completely average.
Find a deal though. Not worth the full price.
