This is kind of silly and reads like you read something else he was saying.

He has never said that they made the wrong decision. Just that he was disappointed because he was putting up better numbers than people like Tom Brady and he's getting benched. He's always been replaced when he was performing poorly, but for once he was doing really well with his team in what may have been the last time to prove himself, and he's being benched.

He was realistic enough to know that he wasn't going to be the guy this year, and he's said that multiple times, and went into it with that in mind, and he is supporting Tua the whole way. But he's allowed to be disappointed he's being benched now given how well he's been playing and connecting with his team.

He is allowed, and I am not saying he isn't, but I just think if he's taking this as hard as he is then he expected too much. To say he basically got fired and complain about how his day was spent in zoom meetings with the guy who "fired" him and the guy who replaced him...perhaps I am simply assuming too much, but to me it sounds like he DOES think they made the wrong decision, and that he DID think he would be the guy this year, regardless of what he says (because let's be real, is he really gonna throw his team under the bus and admit these things? I don't think so personally.)

I am laughing at how hard fitzpatrick is taking his benching. Dude was deluding himself if he ever thought he could make this team his team. He's been through enough teams to know that he's never going to be the answer. I get being upset because yeah, he was playing well. BUt he sounds really bitter and like he's been betrayed.

TBH the main issue bleach suffers from imo is that Its main villains (Aizen and ywhach) are such absurd levels of broken that they end up writing themselves into a corner and have to be defeated by asspulls. Let's have aizen be more powerful than THE ENTIRE GOTEI 13, but ichigo can solo a more powerful version of him because...we said so? Let's have ywhach be able to kill friggin yamamoto and beat the most powerful form of the main character, and he can see the future, but he dies because he doesn't see an arrow piercing his heart...somehow?

I like the anime as a whole don't get me wrong but there are some big flaws.

Honestly I feel like an addition that would make the mode much easier to understand would be when you're selecting supporters right before the battle, is if they gave you more time and had some sort of synergy rating as you select supporters, so that you could see BEFORE accepting the trio how good they'll do. Kinda like how they do when you're selecting before the battle starts at all.

The way I've decided to assume it works is that any buff/debuff granted by stuff like type or skills etc, are applied to the unit's atk BEFORE comparing to the opponent's defense. So like for example, you have your 300k defense, that means that any enemy with base atk 300k or below will do scratch damage on a normal. But seeing as how supers multiple atk by many times (immense at lv1 is 280%) on top of the type advantage (which I think is straight up 2x?), means that even someone with like 100k base atk power could theoretically break your defense with a super. Obv it's tough to say for sure what enemies use as their stats, whether it's base lv1 SA or SA 10, etc, but it's what makes sense to me.

ALso why things like AGL golden frieza can take virtually scratch damage on anything. If he reduced damage received total, it would make a 100k normal to still 10k damage taken (90%), but if you think about it as I said, it would mean the the 100k normal would be reduced before comparing to GF's defense, so you'd be comparing a 10k atk (10% of the original) to GF's like 30-40k off the top of my head defense, equaling scratch damage.
