To derail the topic just a bit, is there something I missed with his son's drunk driving that paints Reid in this kind of light that he was neglectful (in terms of actual confirmed news) or is that just an assumption? I was under the impression that it just made sense for both sides since beal is like the best player on the market now that harden is gone and so many impending FAs signed extensions, plus the wizards are terrible and could probably get a nice haul considering what harden just went for.

Tbh, having looked at all the plays:
1) The play from last year was absolutely dirty by lowry.
2) This play tonight by lowry seemed kinda incidental and just what happens when a shorter guy tries to box out a taller guy, but it's questionable at least. With the feud started from last year, I can see why someone would think it dirty.
3) Gordon's shoulder to lowry looks kinda the same as lowry's play tonight. He took a small step forward and didn't cold cock him or anything and looked a bit like a flop from lowry, but might have still been intentional. And with again the ongoing feud, it's certainly possible gordon just said **** it, and honestly lowry would probably deserve it just after the play last year.

Sorry, I meant tiebreaker. I misread tiebreaker 1 as bieng for just one game rather than both when I made my picks today, so I went super low and was just poking fun at myself for it.

In other news, Chris was the only one to get Tampa right, adn everyone else picked bills this game, so Chris advances!
Tiebreakers determine that DP is the second finalist, as he had the highest amt of catches for TB1 among the remaining 3 and we're already past that threshold.

I think that brady is the goat in terms of resume. Ability? That's always more subjective.

I think you can absolutely blame GBs defense because despite 3 2nd half takeaways, they still gave up 31 pts which is a lot. And statistically, Rodgers outplayed Brady at least today.

Bottom line is, Brady's career is above all others. But depending on how much stock you put into wins in a team game being a defining factor for best "player" ever, I don't begrudge people who think brady isn't that.

Closest number wins, and it will cascade to the next closest for the remaining spots unless there are multiple people with the same gap.

Say there's 5 people tied before TBs. All 5 get TB1 correct. Picks thrown = 6, 3 people say 5 and 2 people say 4. Those 3 people who guessed 5 are safe, the remaining 2 move to TB3.

Say that same scenario but only 1 person picks 5, 2 people pick 4, 1 picks 3, and 1 picks 2. THe person who picked 5 obviously is closest, then the next 2 closest get in, then the last spot is the person who picked 3 as the next next closest, whereas if the final 2 people had picked 3, they'd be tied and would therefore go to the last TB.

If you're doing this on steam, turn off cloud saving, as there's a bug where your save can be corrupted if it's on

Also there is totally an option to undo all prior trades, when you set up and go to the "trades" section, there's a "previously traded draft picks" option you can turn off and it will make every team have their picks I believe

tbh I like this deal for everyone BUT brooklyn because I"m in general not a fan of putting all your eggs in one basket. Even with the best team it's so hard to win a title. This has a bigger chance of putting them in a hole for a decade than it does lead them to a title imo.

I was discussing this in the discord earlier but the nba really goofed in concept with the expanded rosters, since they didn't actually give teams any room to sign new guys if needed, just let the 2 inactive guys be active, which since they're on the team anyway means they're just as susceptible of being infected as the the rest of the team

I'm glad to hear it was such a fun tb for you, but cause of that concern from earlier I have been considering whether to do something like that again. I might try and find a better way to word it or move down the TB ladder, such as maybe making it out like the complaint originally suggested, where it would be expressed that if not enough people got the TB, it would move to the next best team to fulfill the condition or something.

If you or anyone else doesn't feel they can be partial that's fine, I am also welcoming opinions as to whether or not it's...just not a good tiebreaker. The idea of "If not enough people pick 1/12 teams correctly that it moves on to the next TB"

An example being of why this is bad, someone picked a team who won by 20, another person picked a team who won by 1, and the actual right answer was a team that won by 21 that no one picked. Logically the complaint goes that the team who won by 20 is "worth" more than the team who won by 1, but because neither of them guessed the actual correct team, that it then goes to TB2 and then TB3 and that person who picked a team who won by 20 could lose out even though they got the "2nd best" victory margin.

Now granted I don't think the TB wording reads that way at all, but there's still the question of if that concept is a good tiebreaker, rather than the wording being misunderstood.

I am just now receiving a complaint from someone that the TBs 1 and 2 are not really great tiebreakers, I would love to hear from the rest of you as well.

The main cause of consternation is that there is some confusion about how TBs 1 and 2 work if multiple people did not pick the correct team to win by "the most." Do I then go to users who correctly picked the team that got the 2nd biggest blowout? Or do I move on to TB2 if enough people got TB1 incorrect?

I had intended for it to be the latter, so for example right now the Browns are up 28, adn the saints had the 2nd highest win margin. No one picked CLE for TB1 so I had intended to then go to TB2. However, someone and perhaps more of you think I should then instead go to the saints as the "correct" answer for TB1. I don't see how it could be interpreted this way based on the wording of the TB but I am willing to acknowledge that the TB itself as a concept is poor. I am contemplating simply screwing the TBs this week since this user does bring up a good point about its implementation and allowing all tied users to the next rd, do you all think that is fair? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
