You're trying to abstractify the visual spectrum into lines and then recreate it using a stick held between your fingers. It's not simple. But if you keep trying, over and over, you will get better. --- |

The girl's fingers smooth and stubby; the guy's are long and blocky. When you break down the composition, there's actually not that many lines in this image. Your brain is seeing the image as more than the sum of its parts. TO tap into learning by observation you gotta keep breaking stuff down to components. --- |

It's a voluntary org requiring vetting training and an academy and the people aboard a ship like the Enterprise, REALLY want to be there. Wherever they came from probably already had replicators and all the luxuries you could demand. Also there's tons of scenes in Ten Forward the bar, or off-planet vacation shenanigans, etc. They have giant pleasure rooms that can imitate any scenario. There's multiple episodes where the whole premise is Picard playing out hard-boiled detective novels. And they play Poker. --- |
