So with that base it's hard to cook up something to create independent agency and actions on his part. Tragic backstory is an easy trick to get a character to show emotional investment in a situation and to create relationships to play off that you didn't actually need to develop.

yeah i'm aware of the lady who puts weapons on the moon on Bajor lol but she never gives her full hand.

That episode with Bashir trying to stop a conspiracy was really cool, but the relationship with the Romulan woman is somewhat upstaged by the convolusion of section 31's plan to fuck with her.

Honestly I liked Kasumi WAY more than Marie for example. It was very annoying how so many of the scene transitions had those dialogue bubbles drawing attention to her, but her actual interactions with Joker felt natural and interesting. Dumb that she can't join you for the final dungeon or two of the original game, I guess they didn't know want to redraw those cutscenes?

There's nothing Isshin can do that you don't have an answer for. Attacks like Malenia's waterfowl can be almost autolosses if your spacing is wrong.
