The current landscape of the United States economy has been shaped by neoliberal policy. That doesn't mean people who advance neoliberalism (essentially most US politicians) will say the US is fine right now, but their solution to X or Y problem will stay within the guardrails of neoliberal principles.

Well I am talking in theory, not in practice. In practice, neoliberals under-regulate (or have to create so much bureacratic red tape that they prove it never should have been privatized at all), while libertarians skew toward siding with the social-authoritarian party of the US for the sake of regressive tax policy.

Neoliberals think free markets creating wealth is the best way to run an economy, but they are fine with attempting government intervention as a means to an end of preventing negative externalities, EG carbon taxes on a private energy industry. Neoliberalism doesn't have opinions on social issues or how they should be enforced.

Libertarianism has clearer ideological motivation and thinks something like government intervention is bad on principle rather than due to being good or bad policy. Libertarians also care about social issues and any kind of 'freedom' or 'liberty' that might be at stake concerning the government's powers.

A neoliberal opposes Medicare for All style policy because they think hospitals and insurers in the free market will be more efficient, and figures some regulatory oversight will stop the market's selfish inclinations from screwing over the little guy. A libertarian opposes Medicare for All style policy because they think a doctor's paycheck or ability to practice being inescapably controlled by the government is literally a form of slavery.

Generally adoptables are you buying the rights to the design to use yourself, but yes, I think it being obviously a furret compromises the actual legality here.

Defining who "the bad guys" are from a state's point of view is a political action, first of all. Saying "Nazi Germany are bad guys" is a political statement. Alternatively, if Captain America faithfully follows the orders of his government to do whatever, that is also a political action. What is more political than government decision making?

Winter Soldier and Civil War are both about Steve having to make intrinsically political decisions and stands, using his own conscience and moral compass.

When people say these movies aren't political i need to ask what do we think political means anymore? Even if it's defined as not exercising a political consciousness as your post seemed to imply, that's not true of these movies.

Who's really willing to dispute that DS2 dlc is better than Lost Izaleth, Crystal Cave and Tomb of the Giants? Those three are a run of the worst locations in the series.

I think the end of Ace Attorney 6 is pretty outrageous. Really, Ace Attorney would be better off without the timeskip happening how it did.

That said I don't get super invested in canon and additional works. I can very comfortably compartmentalize what happened in the original as being separate from any sequel so bad later works never ruin something for me.

I watched "Baby Jay" and it was hilarious and interesting.

I've had flagship Androids and now an iPhone 15pm and I can't say the quality of iOS software is any significantly better than stuff on Galaxy phones, and some of it is actually just inferior like the stock calculator or alarm app. iMessage is nice but I only have one other family member with an iPhone and my friends use Discord.

That said an iPhone also isn't any significantly worse than an Android, you can still get free versions of essential premium apps like YouTube through the AltStore, and I find that I prefer iOS's general navigation over Galaxy. Swiping left to go back and swiping from the bottom to see different apps feels better than the dedicated screen back and home buttons to me, after getting used to this. iOS also seems to handle suspending background apps better and I don't find myself needing to periodically close out all my apps to cool my phone down.

It is pretty crazy how Lupin is just like "...eh, okay" about killing the rat guy lol. They acted that scene really well

It's just a really bad look for your movie credits to say "Footage provided by the AP, Getty and Andy Ngo" as if he's a real journalist, instead of a fake news peddler who's still tweeting about how George Floyd protests and "Black Lives Matter curriculum" ruined his school system. It platforms a guy who it is irresponsible to platform. The goal of his body of work is to harm minorities and incite fear & rage in conservatives. There's no universe where this movie couldn't have been made without crediting him.

I don't know who Helen Lewis is but from a google search I guess she wrote trans panic content about bearded men showing their penis in women's bathrooms and women being too scared to say anything if trans rights are advanced. Nazi may be a less accurate description than TERF. She apparently used to be pro-trans but something about the bathroom discourse crossed a line for her. Also I think she loves the monarchy which is cringe but what can you expect from the British I guess.

I've also seen some people scolding about not assuming what the movie's about etc, to which I say, that's on A24 for heavily promoting this movie as being about a contemporary US civil war. You don't get to profit off controversy and then complain that your movie is being examined with the wrong lens.

Critics compare Civil War to Christopher Nolan and Apocalypse Now , calling it Garland's best work with flawless cinematography.

I think the concern people have is that one 'side' of American politics in particular is dominated by fake news and the direct promotion of conspiracy theories by politicians to their base, and whether this movie will acknowledge that lopsidedness in the current political atmosphere or attempt to call those people equally valid/invalid to the people they hate.

There's a ton of buffs in here and higher stakes were made easier. Tags buffed too. Straight scaling buffed which was really needed but may not have been enough.

As someone with the rare beat all challenge runs achievement, this update looks like it almost definitely made the entire game easier. It's not bad to adjust dominant strategies that would other discourage players from trying all the other gameplay styles in the game due to not getting enough out of it.

People making major motion pictures should check if they're sourcing from (and thus platforming) blatant propagandists, yeah. There may not have been any malice involved, but the fact they used this guy and it didn't raise any red flags while making the movie is a bad sign. Even if his footage is used in a way that criticizes people like him, that could've been accomplished without using from him and thus giving him a shoutout in a big movie's credits.

Like, the whole problem with Andy Ngo is he tries to portray the world in a way that it isn't actually like. There's no giant woke school pedo ring facility and Manhattan is not occupied by Hamas, but those are the kinds of headlines he pushes with his footage. Andy Ngo isn't a "perspective", he's fake news.
