Certainly the work from home, which I have been doing ever since. I had just got a 2 monitor and dock setup about 6 months before lockdowns started, and had already tried it out a couple months before when waiting for a delivery.

Also, since I was using the room to store a bunch of my mom's junk, I managed to sort through all of her old stuff during meetings and slow times at work. Made dealing with her "estate" so much easier when she died.

The biggest problem is that the goal of a game is a puzzle with a single solution. The visionaries only exist on the maps at certain times, under specific circumstances, and cannot be killed otherwise. The game could have been amazing if you did the loops until you learned their schedules and interactions with other characters and then killed them as you saw fit.

Like imagine if you could lure everyone to the big party at night. Like maybe two have to be killed by traps you set up; one will try and escape the map if you start a gunfight, so either you kill them first or haul ass to catch them before they leave. Would have been an incredible achievement.

That is one of my problems with Arkane in general: They are inspired by a lot of immersive sims, but don't implement the concepts fully enough that you end up having all of the choices endemic to them. They give you the illusion of choice, but if you want to beat the game you have to follow the path they determined is the best. Both Dishonored games had that problem, Deathloop has that problem, from what I have heard Prey also had that problem.

It's OK. The fact that there is only 4 maps (plus an intro one and a final one, both of which don't really count) and 4 times of day make it kind of repetitive. You are basically just playing the same places over and over again to kill the 8 visionaries in the most efficient way possible until you get to the end.

I guess if you are into roguelikes (since this is basically a AAA one) then you might like it, but I find them kind of boring.

Now as far as awesome roguelikes, I played the demo of this one yesterday. Can't wait for the full game to come out:

Yea, 99% of divorce is basically splitting up of assets. Once everyone agrees to that, it is just signing the paperwork. So yea, seems odd that since there is no signature you can't really say that the couple "consents" to the divorce...

But I also don't understand UK laws, so maybe they don't need legal signatures to divorce. Also, other then a few states, you can pretty much get re-marred the same day your divorce is finalized.

I know exactly what they are doing. Want to know what the top 3 boards were for marked messages?

1). Politics
2). Current Events
3). PS4 (or whatever the top system board is at the time, probably PS5 now)

They killed Politics, they just "killed" CE. They are basically trying to reduce moderations by killing the boards where the trolls go. Completely forgetting that just getting rid of the troll boards is going to make those trolls go to other boards.

Even as a person who doesn't talk about politics on public forums, even I know that the solution isn't "ban all political discussion and delete any place where people could potentially do it".

B) the AWS service Nintendo bought is so overpriced that it actually matters and Nintendo CEOs don't understand that they could do it for less money

One of the biggest lies that Amazon and other cloud services have perpetuated is that it is somehow easier to have AWS servers than to just maintain your own.

Like, sure, if you are starting out, it is convenient instead of trying to host your own infrastructure. But once you make any kind of money and actually budget out the costs, you are paying way more than you need to. Like in the old days if you needed a server for something and you didn't have a server farm, then you just put it on someone's desk, or kept it in a closet. My old company had a room that wasn't convenient enough to add cubes or an office in, so they just threw a few dozen machines in there and dubbed it a "server room". Add some window air conditioning units and you have a server room for only a few thousand dollars, and the upkeep is way cheaper then you would get from AWS.

Isn't the origin story of marriage basically ownership of a woman anyway?

Kind of, it was more about the combining/transferring of wealth from one generation to the next. Problem was the best bargaining chip that a lot of people had was "Here, impregnate my daughter and force her into indentured servitude!" Combine that with the fact that being gay 5000 years ago was a foreign concept and you have marriage as we know it today.

So yea, it still surprises me that an outdated, sexist, homophobic practice not only still exists today, but that the LGBT community has actively fought to participate in it rather than abolish it altogether.
