This site is still up. I used it when I was looking for some new HOMM3 maps some years ago. I actually used to make maps for Heroes of Might and Magic 1 and HOMM2. This site doesn't have any HOMM1 maps lol booo!! I actually submitted a few HOMM2 maps back in the day to a website that is now defunct. I believe it was called the Astral Wizard. Heroes VI is surprisingly good and feels more like a throwback to old games HOMM as opposed to V which while not bad felt more like Heroes of World of War craft the way the art looked looked and some other oddness.

VI was damned quickly early because of a badly buggy launch and the newly launched Ubi Connect which required you to be online I think for a at times largely offline experience.

Gotta punch in for work but I was playing VI several years ago and loving it.

Not sure. I always made my own maps. Honestly as much as I loved that game, after pouring countless hours and getting good at it, I admit I don't love the "getting good" aspect. Turns can take too long and it's generally more fun to just run around the map with 2 to 4 heroes then have a massive conga line to secure your supply train and grab merc armies. Game teaches you to respect logistics in a way even most paradox grand strategy games don't seem to understand.

I always wondered if the others changed that up. I think Heroes 6 is considered the second best? I can't recall..

I have played so much Heroes 3 Complete it's not even funny. I have bought and rebought that game so many times.
