PC players are capable of having multiple accounts because stats don't carry over between servers. If you play on American Servers and decide to play on U.K. servers then your stats don't carry over. You have completely seperate stats and levels in the U.K. server vs the American server. You can do that with players that do cross play vs players that don't. Doing this means that when you do your placement matches, you end up getting placed depending on your actual skill. Something where consequences of taking on that challenge is very minimal but you still refuse to do it? There are so many things you can apply this to but I'll use a recent example for me. I'm an Xbox player and M&KB support was announced by Microsoft. I'm also a big Overwatch fan. I went on the official forums and made a topic about crossplay with PC and Xbox. Without going into full details, I just said that Blizzard can let Xbox players with controllers play only with Xbox players and M&KB Xbox players can cross play with PC players. I also said Xbox players with controllers can crossplay with PC IF THE CHOOSE TO. For some reason most people getting caught up on the optional route of an Xbox player with a controller competitively going against a PC player. They said it shouldn't be allowed because controller players have no chance and it's not fun getting your teeth kicked in. I don't understand.... Why are people so afraid of a challenge? I'm a mid Diamond player on Xbox which is top 10%. People say I'll be a Gold player which is around 50% of the community. I want to prove myself. If I get crushed? Good. It's a challenge for me to get better. I love challenges like this but people seem too afraid of challenges these days even if it's about something they are passionate about. Why? --- Yes... I want to talk about that quote in the topic title. It's infuriating. Using that as a reason something didn't happen is absurd. It's well known knowledge that these type of things are dramatic. It's Psychology. From my point of view, it makes no sense for them to not get help. It's just like how it makes no sense that women don't get when they are in an abusive relationship. However, that's on the outside looking in. That has never happened to me so I can't say. However, based on the research and stories, it's clearly Psychological and I can understand it from that point of view because it's become damn near factual. The majority of people move on each gen. It's not profitable to maintain the client and hackers would break it instantly. Consoles are tougher due to a few more passes needed and it's updated constantly. Sure the majority move on each gen. However, I don't see how you think it isn't profitable. You play on nostalgia and players that didn't own that console or games before. It will most defiantly sell. Also hackers? What about all these other Browser based publishers that sell their games? I don't recall hearing those guys getting hacked. Also, people are pirating the hell out of old Nintendo games online using Emulators made by the masses. Nintendo is trying to counter this by going after these websites. If you have a legal way of doing it then people will stop hacking as much. | DepreceV2 08/17/18 7:14:22 PM #1 | This idea I had, which is so basic that many people probably had it, can make fans ecstatic while racking in a TON of money. It simple. Why doesn't Nintendo develop their own Browser like Blizzard, Microsoft, etc and and sale their exclusive games online? Not just any games though because that would directly compete with the Switch. Why not let people purchase games from 10 years ago or older that can be Emulated within their Browser? Can you imagine? They just develop the Emulator that randoms on the internet can do. Make it where it recognizes all controllers and KB&M. Let you map all the buttons. Let fans purchase overpriced games, maybe $40 for the most recent titles, and play it on an official Nintendo Emulator within their own Browser. After 10 years, Nintendo discontinues console production anyway since Gens typically last 5-7 years. So fans get access on the 10 year anniversary of the game on PC. Making it 10 years also means that you won't effect current console sales because those games won't release on PC for a decade. Not only that but you might increase console sales because those PC players playing the older games might be interested in the new games when they weren't before. What's also crazy is that you can directly battle the console market with this strategy. PS4 and especially Xbox players are always asked why they don't switch to PC. This strategy will bury Xbox since they selling exclusives on PC anyway. Without question, you will eat into the PlayStation market. People will start wondering if those exclusive games are enough when you can play all the AAA games on PC and play old Nintendo games on it. We know that Nintendo really doesn't compete with the other consoles because it's so unique. Sounds like wins across the board for Nintendo. Thoughts? Games that would come out this year on PC: -Metroid Prime 3 -Super Smash Bros. Brawl -Mario Kart Wii -Mario Super Sluggers That's just 2008. --- Yes... I'm a Hanzo main |
