Because the population is so fucking huge in LA with lots of job opportunities (hence the only reason people even move to LA), which means ridiculously high amounts of rush hour traffic (especially driving any where near Downtown). With so many people needing to get to certain places fast, especially jobs like mines that time you for how long you are on the road, you have a system that rewards really aggressive driving with stress added onto as a factor, it also doesnt help we are missing some city transportation methods like subways and fast rails. this was by the far the best explanation Ive read. If they let the robbers go because the robbers surround themselves with civilians, theoretically the robbers could avoid the police indefinitely. It isn't realistic to expect the police to follow the robbers without taking action for hours until the time is right. That would cost a lot of money and would be deemed as inefficient. Then add on the fact that the robbers are driving recklessly and have no regard for the lives of innocents, it makes sense to close them in. When they are closed in, the robbers start shooting at the police and it leads to a shootout until the robbers are eventually killed. this is the smartest thing thats been posted in this topic. People are very quick to criticize police actions and think there were simple solutions in scenarios such as these. Theres a fuck ton of variables and adreneline going on --- Trololol |
