I actually used to be able to but reverse grip only. I think the most I ever managed was 3. By used to like 10 years ago

I used to be able to in the military. It was a lot of push ups, then a lot of elevated push ups. I tore down my arms to complete muscle failure weekly. Eventually I could knock out 10+ one armed push ups, and about the same for pull-ups.

Try propping your feet up a foot above ground, strapping 30+ lbs to your back and do like 300 push ups a day like that. If you don't push yourself to a breaking point, to where you physically can not do anymore, not mentally giving up and not wanting to do more, but actually unable to do another, you will achieve results.

Yes. Always have been, just genetics. I don't kick my legs or anything.

In wrestling practice coach use to have the team try and do these to get out of conditioning. "Anybody who can do a one handed pull up right now can skip conditioning."

...after being able to skip conditioning twice in a row coach stopped using that as an ultimatum. I could also do the peg climb...apparently nobody had been able to do that in the ten years since the school was open...it was a cake walk.

Some people are just made differently.

I use to be able when I went to the gym often and did a lot of upper body strength weightlifting and pullups.

But now I hardly ever go no way I could do it.

I thought the pegboards were easy as well.

I mean, I wrestled & played football all throughout school. From 7th Grade to College. Then I decided to become an MMA fighter for 4 years (that went no where). Currently, while on a very minimal workout schedule I can bench 395lbs. I've been an athlete all my life, but alot of it has to do with just genetics as well.

Like, what do you call those crossfit things when somebody does a pull up, but they go all the way to the top of it and do a dip? I got that on my first try as well...don't think I've ever done em since.

Not BSing, I'm a regular on the MA/Fitness board. Been posting videos for years of me lifting and fighting and stuff. Something that most people can do that I can not is whistle and snap my fingers. I'm pretty sure thats genetics as well.

I still don't believe it, no offense. I've never heard of anybody doing a one armed pull up without specifically training for it, even genetically gifted lifters or fighters.

Then there's @Shablagoo who says he can do it even though he doesn't work out.
