| Delirious_Beard 07/19/20 5:43:45 PM #115 | people get way too hung up on the no XP thing in Sticker Star/Color Splash. having an experience system would not have saved those games'. there would still be no strategy or decision-making, hell Color Splash doesn't even explicitly tell the player how much damage their attacks do or how much health the enemy has. if the game had been more about some kind of deck building mechanic, much like the Mega Man Battle Network games, it would have been much better. the primary thing experience affects is incentive, not how fun or engaging an RPG battle system is. | Delirious_Beard 06/01/20 4:00:56 AM #5 | in recent games Little Mac is incredibly unfun to fight against. he's clearly a bad character, but dealing with annoying ass superarmor on all his smashes is just the worst, and the win conditions in the matchup (get him offstage, platform camp) are so simple that there isn't even any satisfaction to be had from winning. also don't like playing against ice climbers in any game. infinites aside, i just don't like having to keep track of the both of them brawl also had probably the most oppressive top tiers in the series, even characters like DeDeDe who despite not being that amazing was basically THE gatekeeper character in terms of invalidating half the roster thanks to one of the easiest chain grabs and an insane back air that was basically kirby's but better (the removal of this move in later games might be the singular reason this character is basically irrelevant) --- https://imgur.com/HUHxlFl You act like I don't know my own way home |
