He won't be playing it, because he already is playing several complex/long games, so he doesn't have room to play it. As such, he bareted his fans for picking a game that he can't play.

Also, for those who have played the gamez you know that this game is hard. And not just the combat, picking the wrong dialogue option can ruin a quest. The game doesn't hold your hand at all, it expects you to figure out things at all.

If Phil knows this, that would also be a possible reason to not play the game.

Thus far the viewers choice has been a complete scam, which is not surprising given who.we are talking about.

I was watching one of the This is How You Don't Plays the other day. I can't remember what it was, maybe Bloodborne. Something ancient at least. In it there was a section about some sort of subscribers being able to do a raffle for a game he plays, so this isn't a new thing. And also he was responding to someone saying they wanted to put Danganronpa in the raffle and Phil was all "You can do that. But keep in mind if my voice is bad, then I can't play it cause I have to voice all the characters."

A plethora of side content does keep popping up as the player explores the open world. I'm liking how organic it feels.

Yeah, same. I'm still not done with Act I. I finished uncovering the map and doing all the side quests in the southern island and I think the only story mission I have left ends act I.

I'm kind of hoping that the game opens up some more levels of progression to existing systems as you advance the game. I've maxed out both my bows, all the ammo capacity, only got a level or two left on the katana and only one level left on two of the armour sets

Like, are all the wood products and predator hides worthless as anything other than supply trade ins for the rest of the game for me?

I've also noticed the sorting of the equipment is pretty bad. Like, hats that are just recolours of each other should be next to each other. I don't care if some of them are found and others are from armour upgrades.

But more significantly I've noticed that it's possible to have two identical charms that aren't sorted next to each other, and I'm having horrible Mass Effect 1 inventory PTSD every time I see it.

The game desperately needs the ability to make equipment sets that you can easily equip. I never fight in anything other than my traveller's clothes because most of my time is spent exploring and I can't just be bothered to sit down and change all my gear (and all my glam, cause the swordmaster's hat I use just doesn't go with the Tadeyori armour!) and then remember what charm setup I had before the fight so I can change back to it afterwards.

I'm finding the stealth gameplay very boring. While dispatching the same few enemies the same way over and over again isn't exactly the most breathtaking experience either, there's some sort of satisfaction to engaging with the flow of the combat rather than just crouch up to an enemy and press the square button (or triangle if there are several enemies, which I always fuck up and press square for instead).

I don't know why, but being stealthy in Sekiro feels immensely more satisfying despite it effectively being the same concept and a very similar execution.

You should. There's a learning curve where you die a lot, but after that it's fairly easy even on hard mode.

Yeah, the game is much too easy. Played on hard mode from the start and I died a bit much at the start getting used to the system, but for the last many hours the only proper challenge has been the boss I fought at Tadayori's Rest.

You use predator hides to upgrade your ammo capacities.

And you should probably go get a bow. It is extremely useful not only for regular human combat, but especially for wild hogs, who are great farming opportunities for hides when you have the bow.

The ending of the murder desk pissed me off. The terrible on rails driving annoyed me. The way that a noir detective turns into the Terminator cause we can't have a video game where you don't shoot ten billion people bugged the hell out of me.

The thing is though, that if you boil all that away, the game has almost no depth. The detective work you do boils down to looking in the trashcan right outside the nightclub where the murder happened to find the bloody knife, or inspect the victim's wallet and then ask the people present some questions. There's more investigative depth to Phoenix Wright for God's sake (note: hyperbole).

The only thing the game really has going for it is an amazing atmosphere. And while it is damn good, it doesn't manage to hold up everything else. In general, I get annoyed playing the game.

Like grabbing onto a roof outcrop and pulling yourself up, jumping over some rocks, vaulting a railing, etc.

Some of the best I've ever seen in gaming and there's so many of them.

And no, I'm not trying to damn the game with faint praise (overall I'm sort of enjoying it so far), I just thought they were so fucking good they needed their own topic.

Playing with English VA cause it's an American game. It's pretty terrible. But that has more to do with the general rhyhm of dialogue sort of being... off. Like in cutscenes or heavily scripted scenes its fine, but say when you're talking to a merchant NPC it feels like they're tripping over themselves to throw up their dialogue as quickly as possible. And basically all the dialogue is "hello random stranger, I know exactly who you are"

So far. Not very far into it.

I don't think the movie is bad per say, but I really wish that since they made the effort to make such a gorgeous and stunningly high quality reconstruction of the ship and the sinking that they'd have focused on that instead of some made up drama about some made up people.
