It makes us excited to get to the grass on a new route. In D/P/P or X/Y, most of the routes are crowded with old pokemon we have no interest in. But in B/W, we could look forward to something we wanted to catch each route. You're free to catch new pokemon even if there's old pokemon around. That way we're both happy. Don't ruin it for others just because you like to play in a weird way. People like you remind me of Ash, ditching his old favorites every gen and never becoming a true master.
