Unless they're at the River, I don't know why they would be fighting those Chocobos. You don't need to fight randoms in this game to really beat it. Maybe 10 times in the whole game until you get near the end and want to do DD or something. But by then you're team should be Gods, and Gear >>>>>>> Levels in this game.

I was hunting for tiamats on Barius Hill and whenever a chocobo swarm appeared I was toast. Like legit I am so OP I can own any other encounter pretty much singlehandedly but these chocobos would wreck my ass. The dragons were easy

The only time I have ever run a Math build was my very first Solo Ramza build. Not only is it fucking slow and boring, but it's way too easy. I don't know why so many people suggest it.

This is my Solo Ramza Main Save. All the Jobs are unlocked with Spill-Over JP so I can start up any Solo run I want. Save is right before Dorter 1, where the challenges start

I say this every...single...time I start up a new Tactics playthrough, and always give up about halfway. You either bend over backwards to build around him with Materia Blade and Short Charge just to make his special abilities feasible (yet still underpowered), or you trash all that and make him something useful but not unique. I'm sure one of the FFT masters has a build that makes full devastating use of his special class, but with my limited brainpower I never figured out how to make him work.

I gave Ramza his skill set and gave him the Materia Blade at the start of the game to do a Solo Run of it. Great Job, if I'm being honest. It's just way too late

1) Ramza and 4 other units. Can be your original crew to save time, but I go and buy 4 new ones to get high Brave on them all

2) [Random Fight 1] Make them all Squires and learn Accumulate. Clear map

3) Switch 2 of them to Chemist and then go Archer/Knight with the other two

4) [Random Fight 2] Clear a random map until one creature left. Accumulate, Accumulate, Accumulate until you unlock the new Job, but keep doing it until you get the Spill Over JP for the other units. Example -

You should have Two Chemists, and Archer and a Knight. Get your two Chemists up to Archer 2 and Knight 2 by using Spill-Over JP as you gain those Levels with your Knight and Archer, and catch those Chemist Levels from the two Chemists and get up to Chemist 2 with Spill-Over JP on your Knight and Archer

When you leave this fight you should have 4 party members at (close enough to) - Squire 2, Chemist 2, Archer 2, Knight 2 and have thus unlocked - Black Mage, White Mage, Monk, and Thief Unlocked

5) Switch everyone to Monk. Add skills to help you like Auto-Potion and shit

6) [Random Fight 3] Steam roll this map with your Monks until you have one left and you can get everyone up to the Level 4 Monk you need to unlock Samurai down the road, and you might as well while you have an army of Monks so the Spill-Over JP is much better

7-x) [Random Fight 4-x] Just keep this up. Until you have all the Jobs unlocked. One person will lose the ability to Accumulate (You need Chakra latter since you fight Chocobos in that first Random Map, and even though you have the levels, you don't have the gear to keep up. But Charka gives JP as well!)

Then for the higher Jobs, just switch everyone to the Job you need and just Accumulate until you get it on everyone. And Ramza, by doing nothing but standing around this whole time, watching, learning, will have all the Jobs unlocked at Level 1 with a good amount of skills to pick from to help him start out.

Now fire all of those people that taught you so you don't have Level 68 random encounters for your Level 1 Ramza, Make your Three saves like I did, and ever have to do that again. Now start up any Solo run you want

It doesn't even take the 12 hours, that's me leaving my game on while I went and did shit online or took a shit, lol

If you wanna make it more fair for the enemies, just use the War Of The Gods codes to make enemies be double your level.

I hate the nerfing approach to game balance. Instead, buff everything to be on the level of the thing you wanted nerfed.
