Wanna get to that patch of grass to see what Pokemon you can find? Nope! Gotta talk to your rival and go clothes shopping. Wanna challenge the gym? Nope, your rival has to literally bump into you and start talking about menial bullshit. Wanna explore the next cave? Nope, you gotta go talk to the professor about fucking fruit or some stupid shit. Just let me play the god damned game. Pokemon Red was basically plug and play, with the occasional rival battle ambushing you after a dungeon, but the rival never stopped you to talk about fucking clothes shopping. At least we got Nebby. I love how it keeps not staying in the bag |
