You don't need to catch any of them. You can just walk around them until you find that one Weedle you want, and it'll get trained up from the exp share from all the trainer battles the game has. The RNG is eliminated because rather than running into 20 Caterpie while looking for a Weedle, you can avoid those 20 if you don't care for the exp |
