I am fine venerating the flute as a remarkable piece of craftsmanship by Parisian Claude Laurent. I think that's cool. It was also part of the stuff Dolley Madison rescued from the White House fire, but then it ultimately got passed around in private collections until the 1940s.

All James Madison did was own the flute for a time. It was gifted to him for his winning his second term of the presidency. As I understand it, he didn't even play it.

The reason it sits in the Library of Congress is because a president owned it. Trying to make the argument that it is significant to American history because of that seems a bit foolish.

Nobody comes to Current Events as a three-day-old user in the year of our dog 2022. Nobody. This is not an obvious, hot hub, easily found, tip-top of the pulse of the Internet board. This is a board of old people, myself included.

This community has long recognized what a "new user" complaining about being treated is: a user who got banned who is coming back with a new account.

I can't speak for CE at large, but I personally reserve the right to think less of users who get banned on this site. I further reserve the right to think even further less of users who get banned, come back with another account, and continue on their bullshit, while claiming to be no one in particular.

Either own your identity as someone returning to the site, or come back as a different account and make it an actual fresh start. At least try to pretend like you haven't been here for years.

Anyways, I did learn something because I thought to get the Oroborous Order you had to use two partners in the same Order, not two Orders that are partners. At least now I know.

I still haven't pulled off two Oroborous Orders in one Chain Attack, though. It says to raise your Interlink Level to 3, but what does that then look like when you hit the button? Do I have to get two pairs of partners, or do I have to choose the Orders of the partners who are Level 3?

This show is a league ahead of the other Star Wars live action stuff IMO. It has an actual range of characters with their own believable actions, motivations and responses that have ramifications that go well beyond what they could expect or imagine. It doesn't rely on fan service to be interesting. Cinematography and locations are top notch. Even if this didn't have the Star Wars branding it would be an actual good sci-fi show.

It'll be a total shame if it gets overlooked but I suppose not overly surprising since the pitch doesn't seem to be interesting on the surface.

All of this. The whole thing just radiates with talent in the production.

And even then we still get the odd bit of fanservice, like the bits on Coruscant and the mention of the Rakata.

And I can't wait for Karn to become more engaged, either to see him properly step up or properly fuck up.
