Finally some good news for once.

Playing MP1 Remastered reminded me how many of the rules the game would end up breaking retroactively, like before the rules were even made.

It's still a fantastic game and I loved going through it again, and I do want to see what can be done for an MP4, but I realize it's a tall order.

Clicking the Home button at the bottom right only teleports you back there. All progress is preserved.

Oh by the way, Origin isn't "the giant planet".

Tip 1: Around your ship are little dots. These are destinations and they grow brighter as you get closer.

Tip 2: The Origin Planet has directions to most major destinations. Simply thrust directly away, once you find enough power.

Up Arrow = Forward Thrust
Left/Right Arrow = Adjust Vector
Down Arrow = Reverse Thrust

Land properly to get your thrust back quickly. Look around for power-ups and a bunch of xkcd inside jokes.

Also what was wrong with Kirby Star Allies? I thought it was great.

I don't play Animal Crossing but seeing as how it's the second highest selling Switch game ever I figure people must be enjoying it. Now that's not a specific analysis of its "quality", but I think sales can at least be a good tangential metric.

NGE is a deconstruct of robot shows of the time, which honestly had been attempted prior to it but this was the first one to really vibe with the times.

And then Gurren Lagann reconstructed it.

Also Din Grogu doesn't make sense given naming conventions we've seen so far among Mandalorians but that's a minor complain.

You could have stopped at two checks and I might have had fun to counter the difference between state sponsored murder of imprisoned criminals and putting down a gun-toting insurrection that I'm told would be inevitable if we banned guns.

But then you... if you'll pardon the metaphor... shot yourself in the foot all over again.

But good job bringing that up again for reminding us how absolutely wild that sounded the first time.

EDIT: Note to readers, this was a different topic about gun violence, where yemy got backed into a corner defending suicide by firearm as "not gun violence" to the point where he suggested it'd be a valid form of euthanasia for someone with a terminal illness.

I would probably have to mod you. And would caution that there are enough of them that martyrdom on that scale would be very likely to instigate a massive Civil War from messaging alone.

If the worry is the lives lost, consider the lives we're already losing.

Hoping that the concept will run its course in a few generations doesn't address the idea of capitalism being the main driver behind the amount of guns already in circulation.

The risk of calling the bluff of an extremely disorganized rabble may be worth the immediate sacrifice.

Shogi is unfortunately unfair in LaD games because the AI is always cranked real high.

I didn't realize this until Clubhouse Games for the Switch came out and I breezed through even the hardest difficulty.

Fortunately, I don't think there's a single Shogi minigame in the series that you can't cheese to victory.

I read this series a few years back and I feel like it connected and gave me a new lease on my own childhood sense of wonder.
