Oh, I can use tag team abilities to one-shot Invested Vagabonds. I already saw that crits do a little more than normal, but I didn't expect to do 500 damage to it, haha.

If I'm gonna spend the GDP of Liechtenstein for one chick's decor, the reward better be super kickass. I'd test this stuff out on the mechanic first, but the nerd girl works at the nerd school, so it was easier to raise stats that way. Didn't expect to max out Intellect before the other stats, honestly.

You can just one shot them with Joon-Gi's multi shot single target attack, and then follow up with another person to hit them if that doesn't do the trick.

Yeah, I swapped in Joon and used his gun attack to kill that bum. I think he had some kind of similar multi-hit move in his default class, but he's a bodyguard (?) right now. Had some real "you're a big man" vibes, haha.

oh yeah the move I'm talking about is in his standard assassin class. I felt like that was the best class for him.

Makes sense -- he kinda looks like an idiot in every other costume.

Finally went back to Sotenbori to see the rocket launcher situation and a little bummed you can only have two. These better blow my mind.

I'm glad Nanba's sidequest didn't end with everyone straight up lying about MIzue and her "sick family" ruse. That would've been a pretty crappy ending.

MIght try and play a little today. I doubt I'll have too much trouble on the rematch, though maybe I'll grind a little to get Zhao's friendship level maxed out -- he's the only holdout so far.

Maybe I'll teach some of the boys that musician move that regens health. That should counteract constantly bleeding somewhat. Seems like it's pretty easy to get, so I don't have to fret over only one XP-boosting accessory for my little songbirds.

I tried the fight again the other day, just to see if there was a marked improvement, but I got murdered (again, Ichiban bit the big one by getting his three times (?) in a row) and did worst than last time. The residual healing helps a little, but I'm gonna try to get Adachi to learn the defense-boosting musician ability before tackling it again. Didn't bother using the rocket launchers, but I'm assuming it works well in the second half of the fight to finish off Majima and ruin their double tech.

Okay, got Adachi to Musician LV12 for that protect move. Between that, residual heals, normal heals, item heals, space lasers, and two rocket launchers, things should be good to go. I can do other debuffs, too, although with how the bosses get their turns, they seem to wear off quicker than normal.

Have you spec'd anyone into Fortune Teller yet? Or have you not met the requirements for that job? I forget how late in the game that job is obtainable.

I got a couple people to learn the 100% (?) chance for reviving move, but that's about it so far.

Got to F17 of the battle arena before getting bored. Nice that they put in a checkpoint, 'cause I was fully prepared to lose all progress, just like in old-school games (Arc the Lad arenas drove me up a wall when I had to figure out each level's prize, haha). I suppose this is a semi-reliable way to farm gold nuggets and stuff, hmm?

Yeah, I plan to beat it all at some point and might do more later. It hasn't been too difficult yet, but that's thanks to Space Laser-fu. Picked up some Quixotic Armor for Kasuga as well, so maybe that'll help, since him dying has been the weakest link so far. (I really wanted to give it to Adachi to make him feel like a true tank, but taunting is such a hit-or-miss affair, it's almost a waste.)

Welp, pulled through this time. The rocket launchers didn't help as much as I'd have thought, but using 'em after Daigo shows up was indeed the right call to expedite Goro's ass kicking. The rest wasn't too hard, and having higher DEF made eating a Blade Kill much easier.

I almost want to post the pic of the Pornagra-Pharoah flopping on Saeko with his goofy lube attack, but...maybe that's not a good idea. They're definitely one of the funnier enemies to find, though.

Nanba tried to hype me up with a "point of no return" speech before doing the dissolution meeting, but I saw in the pokedex that some foes appear in a Kamorocho dungeon (wherever that is), so I knew that couldn't be right. Two fights against some stooges wasn't much of a display, honestly.

I'll have to check later if I can taxi back to Sotenbori for the arena. I'm sure it's still available.

Not sure how many yakuza games you've played but they make it very clear when you're at the end of the game. Especially judgment games lmao.

Damn, Sawashiro revealed that my patriarch was really my dad and Ryo Aoki was really Sawashiro's kid. And it only hinged on the completely believable fact that two newborns were put in coin lockers right next to each other, on the same day, around the same time. Genius!

I think I'm Hero LV 25-26. Basically just kept him there the whole game. I tried the fight yesterday, but got killed in one of those "boss randomly gets two hits in a row" things. Next time, I'll just spam Joon's blade technique and just buff/guard with the others. Things would be easier if that party DEF-boosting ability was usable outside the musician class, but alas.

He does have a weakness.

Poison kiryu. It makes things easier.

All three of these posts are true and hilariously not mutually exclusive.

Joon has some kind of poison attack, IIRC, so I'll just use that when I do a rematch later. Probably more reliable than using poison boxcutter shenanigans.

Huh, even the other two bosses could be poisoned. Anyway, off to Kamurocho for the final act, I'd assume. Should track down some supplies and see if there's some other stuff like the Tojo crest mascot, arenas, etc.

Hmm, I need a Dragon Soul Bat to upgrade to the final (?) bat. I wonder if it's one of those crappy generic bats upgraded all the way or something -- don't really want to spoil it and look it up.

Spent yesterday doing some arena stuff and picked up a few more cough drop tins. I got to the next checkpoint, so LV26, I think. Some of the challenges have been piss easy, though, even more so than earlier rounds, so not sure what's up with that.

Not sure if Millennium Tower is the real point of no return, since I'm always warned about dungeon-esque buildings where I can't leave halfway through, but I'll train nonetheless. I think most levels are in the mid-fifties.

Arena is entirely east until the last like 3 before the end I believe? It's been over a year since I've played so don't quote me. The cool thing is you can replay from checkpoints so once you finish you can just blast through the last fights a few times for exp.

I can tell you if you're at the end if you'd like but I know you're avoiding spoilers and such.

I've been waiting for the arena to throw annoying-ass necromancers (instant death spell users) at me, but so far, it hasn't happened. I think there's only three types of those enemies, though, so maybe it won't be too hard if they do. I can use Ichiban's skill to "endure" a OHKO, hopefully, though I haven't tried it on those types of attacks -- just ain't enough users of 'em.

I am a golden arena god! Got all the secondary rewards for the last half of the levels, too, so that was nice.

Guess I'll do the bum-district dungeon to find more ingots. I think some showed up there, and with Adachi (enforcer) and Ichiban (hero) with good weapons, I can probably auto-battle through most of it.

Might try to do some go-kart stuff later, just to see if there's any kickass rewards at the end. Wouldn't surprise me if there was an ultimate weapon component or something.

Guess I'll do more go-karting today. My time's a little divided right now, sadly.

Make sure to switch to the top view if you haven't already, makes a huge difference

I think I have some kind of third-person view for racing and haven't had any trouble. Haven't lost any circuits or rematches yet, honestly.

Hmm, probably won't be able to play much today 'cause of an appointment, but we'll see. I think my PS+ runs out on June first, so it'd be nice to finish this sucker soon.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot I wanted to do the other sewer exploration thing. I did the one in Ijincho again a few days ago, but I sleptwalk through it 'cause it was so easy and there weren't any more bosses.

EDIT: Alrighty, did the first B1 pretty easily. They snuck a few LV60 enemies in there (that annoying billboard type, Mister Six, etc.) but it wasn't too hard. Some of the gear I've found has been way better fare, too. Hopefully they don't bust out any of those necromancer douches, though. I think I once found one randomly in a silver safe and had to bust out the big guns before he murdered Kasuga.
