Even Lara aside, stuff like Sackboy and Agent 47 even being in the top 20 shows something is seriously wrong with that list. What causes delay lagUsually it's the frame and speed of the game vs. the speed and frame rate of your TV, which aren't designed with games in mind, per se. Hence "game mode" setting, which does either sync or "upscales" the rate, for lack of better word. This is why gaming desktop monitors make a point to point out their frame rate, refresh rate, etc. And why GPUs can sync all of this together. A good example of where this could be a problem was Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which suffered input lag when using modern TVs of the time (the first smart TVs) compared to traditional/CRTs at the time. And early game modes weren't as good as syncing as they are now. And for a game as twitchy as Smash, input lag is noticeable and detrimental. But a game requiring game mode? North Carolina needs to be on the list (and the article does mention this, thankfully). It's been an almost 50/50 state for years and years now, it always baffles me why Dems don't put more focus here, since it's already teetering on the edge. And Texas makes more sense than FL, given it's slow march to Purple. Holding AZ and GA also need to be moves. I assume you mean "high-end performance" hardware. And that's because the last time they did, the GCN sold so poorly they had to stop manufacturing it for a while and drop the price to $99. They figured out from the PS2, which only sold like crazy because it was an early, cheap DVD player, that high-end hardware doesn't move consoles, it's what the hardware can do for you. That, and compared to Sony and MS, Nintendo doesn't sell their consoles at a loss. Although I'm not sure about the Switch and whatnot. theAteam posted... Has Nintendo ever led the pack in performance/graphics?Gamecube. I think the under-the-hood XBox was technically better, but you wouldn't know it. | CyborgSage00x0 03/22/24 6:26:22 PM #6 | Hard to say, especially if you were kinda meh about Awakening. The series could a hard evolutionary turn from then on out, so any resembling FE7 or FE8 is long-since dead and not coming back.
They both have a similar "hub" mechanic that functions like X-Com (that series itself which functions a lot like FE) in between battles/missions, with Three Houses being the school/monastery, and Engage being it's own castle town thing. General agreement is TH has the much better story (with 3 different stories (well, technically 4) in one game that branch out, giving it good replayability), and good combat/mechanics, while Engage has a very generic story with few surprises, but the Engage battle mechanic puts a wildly different spin on the combat (and ditches the min-army mechanic thing from TH that no one liked). I.e., both are really well liked for their own reasons, but TH is generally considered the stronger entry. Be warned, the hub mechanics are a pretty big element of the game, and they do tend to drag on (although you can ignore and skip past the stuff that shouldn't ignore). --- PotD's resident Film Expert. |

If some sort of royalty has to always be paid every time AI goes to generate something, then it goes a long way to crippling the supposed artist revolution of "now anyone can do it."
