I was actually surprised they didn't do that with recreational weed when it passed. When medicinal passed they tried putting a ton of road blocks in the way trying to delay it, but it happened anyway.

Red states like Missouri, Ohio, etc. have already voted in favor of these things. I live in Ohio, and I'm shocked that the politicians haven't just straight up ignored the will of the people (yet)

When Florida started talking about doing medical marijuana I was in, I grew that in Northern California at the beginning of the 2010's so I had a decent amount of experience, when I looked it up, they don't want anyone growing it but rich multi millionaires. They wanted like 5 million in a bank account as well as like 7 years of running a business. This is their way of only allowing the rich to profit. This is also why I tell anyone upset about NYC wanting to allow non corporate assholes to run dispensaries to fuck off. California let everyone into the industry that wanted it. Bitch about California, but at least they understood that people could be positively impacted and allow everyone to take advantage of it.

This is the best opportunity Dems have for picking up seats and maybe even Biden the state.

But yeah, after seeing how the state handled returning the right to vote to non-violent felons I don't expect the legislature or DeSantis to let people have this. Dems will need to win enough seats to break the supermajority for this to have any chance of being implemented.
