Talking about other "wire-fu" movies, I definitely enjoyed it more than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and House of Flying Daggers, which where the other two movies along those lines that came out around the same time.

But I've got them all (and a few others) in my DVD collection - I've got a foreign film section in general, but the Asian martial arts film section is about a dozen or so deep alone.

I'd say Hero>CTHD>HotFD for what it's worth. I'm like the only one that felt a little underwhelmed by Daggers, it seems. Then again, I also haven't seen it since it came out, despite owning it, so it may be time to take a view again.
