I only say this because I don't see it anywhere in this thread, but on another website where this is being discussed it was brought up. Actually a couple things. Apparently she was wearing a tactical bulletproof vest and helmet when she approached the police. Secondly, now police claim they have evidence that she was engaged in shooting at the police. Of course we all know police never ever lie, but I think it's worth bringing up.

EDIT: My mistake, it's in the link posted. Obviously you don't have to dig very far to find the actual video, and it looks very bad.

From what I read the cops claimed she was wearing "tactical gear" but with the video being leaked it was shown to be a lie

How many fucking people have to die before our society understands that there is a much simpler and safer way to handle public safety than giving maniacs guns and immunity.

Poor girl, she didn't choose her parents and she didn't choose those cops who basically were given the fire at will order.

The only even halfway mitigating factor here is that it wasn't the cops saying "come over here" who shot her, it was some dipshits who were further away and couldn't clearly see what was happening -- in which case, why would you shoot?

Sounds totally legit and not something a cop would claim.

It makes me sad honestly, because growing up I was under the impression that police are here to protect us. That's what I was taught in school. But the older I get the more I realize they're just on a power trip, most of them.

If I ever have kids I'll teach them from a young age to never talk to cops.

Dillon Taylor was shot for wearing headphones. I don't know if that cop got a pension but he was not fired.
