You'd realistically need at minimum a two week reconditioning period and a two week playing period. Its possible, but at some point you'll compromise the next season trying to save this one if it takes too long.

They'd really have to put things together well.

The Hurricanes OT game winning goal was the result of a Hurricane stick hitting the puck over a foot above the crossbar. After review it was not overturned.

I'm... Honestly not sure how the NHL replay system continues to be so defunct that it regularly misses such obvious calls. I've been starting to lean towards the building bandwagon that the NHL needs to stop reviewing things at all for a while now. They just can't seem to get it right, and it's making it worse how often they seem to fail.

What have I been saying all this time? I refuse to believe, because this is the Wild's M.O. for 10 years.

Unless they actually make the Conference Finals (or even second round to be honest), what else am I supposed to do? I come off as "eternally miserable" because Minnesota teams (in general) are that level of defeatist.

Gophers did great last year, but other than that, I have seen local teams punched in the face for 15-20 years now.

None of the top metro teams have been playing all that well lately, but I don't think anyone is going to be good enough to take spots from them. I feel like we have our four teams that will make it inhabiting the top 4 spots already, and the 2nd wildcard is up for grabs for a group of teams that are simply more heavily flawed. The Rangers are currently playing the best out of that group, but their remaining schedule puts them against almost all playoff teams; thrice against the Penguins for example. They could be a scary 8 seed if they could find their way in.

The Rangers have put themselves into a nearly identical position that the Blackhawks are in... They're only 4 points out, but they're probably just not good enough to make it. They should probably also sell a little bit as well for the push that will start next year. They look to have a pretty viable window upcoming.

That was a 1-0 game where frankly they got outplayed most of the second and third period and simply found a way to survive.

The Islanders seem to be particularly good at that kind of game this year.

It will be 2 or 3, and I will probably be dead last among tiebreakers regardless because I decided to think the Patriots defense would hold Henry under 100 yards and just guessed at a team I thought could rip off two 30-50 yard rushes against a mediocre defense and end at ~140. I never once considered the Titans. I did consider the Vikings though.

Personally I'd rather be dead last than 5th or 6th so.. So I kinda want that 0-4 anyway to be honest. If I am gonna crash and burn I want it to be amazing.

Failing horribly is funny~ I can just laugh at myself and go about my day.

My numbers had KBM in sole possession of 13th... That's an awful spot to be.

Frankly though I was almost four full games out entering Packers/Vikings with 17 games left in the season.. Honestly I'm satisfied with just being able to salvage that. That was effectively my "Super Bowl" already.

I think some people quit too easily/early with things like this.
