Doesn't the rest of the map just not even open up until you talk to Seadall? Even if you could make it through the level without the terrain changing abilities from Corrin's ring (getting Camilla's ring from the DLC would probably help this a lot) I don't know how you could beat the level without recruiting him first.

I know for a fact that you can miss Lindon since he's the only recruitable character in the game that's on the enemy side and recruited by talking to him as an enemy. It was so deep in the game and I was so used to Engage not having recruitable enemies that I just forgot they were a thing and killed him like a normal enemy in my first playthrough. I only found out afterwards that he was recruitable and I felt really bad about it, so I made sure to recruit him in my second playthrough even though I didn't plan on using him.

Plus, theoretically, you could just skip the paralogues where you recruit Anna and Jean. I don't know why you would want to, but you could. I think.

Is it okay to put 3 fusion deployment in any deck?

It's apparently really good in Branded now. Its main use is to summon Cartesia (who's really important to the deck now and needs to be in rotation ASAP) by revealing Granguignol, but in a pinch it can summon Albaz by revealing any of the Albaz fusions, and in my Branded Tearlaments deck it can even summon Reinohart by revealing Kaleido-Heart.

Spent 12k on the new selection pack (plus 1.5k on the Cyber Dragon structure deck just for 3 copies of Fusion Deployment) and got basically everything I needed for my Branded and Dogmatika decks, including a glossy Magnamhut, a glossy Garura, a glossy Alba Zoa, and a royal Lubellion. The only UR's I might still need from the pack are more copies of Cartesia and Lubellion (only pulled 1 of each and I'm pretty sure I need 2-3 copies) and I'm out of gems so I can just craft those after I dismantle some UR's.

There's no such thing as a Bystial deck. They were meant to be generic and anti-meta with their banish effects. Branded and Dragon Link decks can best take advantage of their bodies and other effects besides the banish and are the closest things you'll see to a "Bystial deck", but pretty much any deck that needs to counter Tearlaments and doesn't lock itself out of special summoning them (like Floowandereeze does) can use them.

The OCG banlist also has stricter hits to Sprights (Blue, Jet, and Starter all limited, TCG only has Starter semi'd), Floowandereeze (Map limited and Shifter at 2 in OCG but neither of those apply in TCG), Branded (Fusion and Opening at 1 in OCG while TCG's only hit is Expulsion being banned), and Kashtira's main deck (Fenrir and Unicorn limited while TCG has Unicorn semi-limited and Arise-Heart in the extra deck limited), as well as four Bystials limited that aren't hit at all in the TCG yet. So other decks around Tearlaments as well as their #1 counter all being weaker in the OCG is another big factor of why Tearlaments are still able to stick around even in their now severely weakened state.

That plus other tools like Grass, Chaos Ruler, Curious, Fairy Tail Snow and the recently unbanned Glow-Up Bulb being legal in OCG (while they're all banned in the TCG) and abusable by Tearlaments. It's no wonder why the deck is still alive and fairly viable.

Bystials aren't a deck of their own. Magnamhut and Druiswarm are splashable handtraps, tons of decks would be running as many copies of those two as they can solely to counter Tearlaments, and any other Light/Dark decks that need the GY would be caught in the crossfire. Magnamhut is basically an interruption that searches another interruption (though Dragon/Branded decks might use it to search a combo piece instead) so limiting it means there are less opportunities where the player essentially gets two Bystials for the price of one. Druiswarm is also two interruptions for the price of one with its second effect, which can be triggered simply by using it as material for a Synchro or Link summon on your turn after you summon it with its first effect. Limiting these two specifically helps curb the free advantage that the Bystials bring non-Dragon/Branded decks and how badly they cripple Light/Dark decks that need the GY.

The other Bystials besides those two are only one interruption outside of very specific decks or circumstances, which makes them still annoying but less powerful than the much more generic Magnamhut and Druiswarm. If decks besides Dragon/Branded decks want to devote precious deck space to these less useful and versatile Bystials (to have more than just the single copies of Magnamhut and Druiswarm) because they're that afraid of Tearlaments, then they'll be a lot less powerful than if they were allowed to max out on Magnamhut and Druiswarm. As a result, there will be at least some players who aren't willing to use the less useful Bystials and will only run the single Magnamhut and Druiswarm, which means Light/Dark decks that need the GY don't get crippled as badly as often.

Bystials are (sadly) a necessary evil right now to deal with Tearlaments, but as a whole they're terrible for the long-term health of the game because of how badly they invalidate so many decks. They, like many of the archetypes Konami released in 2022, were a mistake.

That's good news. Those two are the main ones that decks were splashing to use as handtraps because their secondary effects were so generic. Magnamhut and Druiswarm were splashed in other decks at 2-3 copies apiece before being limited to 1 in the OCG, but Branded decks only ran 1 of each anyways and ran more of Saronir and Lubellion instead.

Or ban Fairy Tail Snow, that stupid furry little bitch that keeps jumping out of a Tearlament player's graveyard like a god damn jack in the box. Even without directly hitting a Tear card that's still in the shop, there was more they could have done and they didn't do it.

"Branded Fusion, summon Albion/Lubellion, effect, summon Mirrorjade" usually doesn't take that long. Unless it's one of those decks that combines Branded with other stuff. I've had Branded Drytron for a while and recently built a Branded Labrynth Ishizu 60-card trash pile deck that's really stupid but really fun.

It's hilarious that they dropped the new TCG banlist right in the middle of a YCS that a lot of the big YouTubers were playing in, so only Cimo (who's now the "History of Yu-Gi-Oh guy" and barely plays the TCG these days) and Dkayed (who's now the "Master Duel leak guy on Konami's blacklist" and hasn't played the TCG in years) were able to actually do a decent reaction video for it out of all of the ones I follow. The list itself seems pretty meh too. Barely hit Kashtira, hit Purrely and SHS way too soon, borrowed the OCG/MD philosophy of bloating the semi-limited list that I'm not a fan of, etc.

Oh well, I'm only a MD player anyways. The only way this affects me is if it might be a hint at future MD pre-hits like Diablosis for Kashtira.

Redirecting a card to be banished (AKA what Shifter, Cosmos, D-Fissure, etc. do) doesn't count as banishing by a card effect, so a "send to the GY" effect like Dingirsu would indeed get around Gymir's protection from being banished even if an effect like Shifter being active would cause it to be banished instead. God, this game really is for lawyers.

I know that Imperial Iron Wall overrides banishing floodgates like D Fissure and Macro, so I assume Gymir would fall under a similar ruling.

The only question with this situation would be if an effect says that it sends to the GY (like Dingirsu or Zeus) rather than destroying or banishing. Would it still work because the effect itself doesn't destroy or banish, then the monster would be banished instead of being sent to the GY due to the lingering effect of Shifter? Or would it not work because it would be banished instead, therefore Gymir would protect from it?

Currently at DLv13 on both of my accounts in the event, using Sky Strikers on my main account and Marincess on my side account. My goal with this type of event is always DLv15 with both accounts, maybe DLv17, so I'm on a good pace so far. On another note...

Worldsea Dragon Zealantis has been an absolute godsend in my Marincess deck. It's a great tool for breaking boards going second and the best way Marincess has to get rid of some annoying monsters like Avramax.

Too Cute Crisis is (somehow) still consistently one of the most fun shows of the week. With its premise, there was a chance that it would lose its luster as it went on, but it's mixing up the formula enough to stay funny. Plus it's always super adorable.
